Thimerosal & Autism - David Kirby's Evidence of Harm

By Evelyn Pringle

David Kirby's new book, "Evidence of Harm" is a must read for anyone seeking to understand the connection between autism and childhood vaccines containing the mercury based preservative Thimerosal. The book examines the political and legal side of this travesty and presents information that cannot be disputed.

The book is a result of a thorough investigation and is by no means an anti-vaccine campaign. But most importantly, its obvious that Kirby has no ax to grind.

1. The antidote is in the medical literature
and honestly, this has been studied to death by the medical community, and it's beyond ludicrous to suggest everyone in the medical community who has done a study is being paid off by vaccine manufacturers.

The numbers just plain don't work.

Information on the true incidence is at http://www.neurodiversity.com/autism_prevalence.html

Articles on the multiple causes being examined are at: http://www.neurodiversity.com/etiology.html

Another article on likely causes is at: http://www.srmhp.org/0101/autism.html This article has been reprinted by Quackwatch, a good place to find debunks of pseudoscience.

All the anti thimerosol people have on their side are numbers that don't work (e.g. autism extremely rare for 60 years after thimerosol's introduction) and a wealth of anecdotal evidence. If you want a scientific study of this issue. please consult the scientific literature.

2. Using Quackwatch discredits you in my eyes
Quackwatch is in support of the medical establishment in the same way that Partnership for a Drug Free America is for prohibition.

People are not familiar with how small a dose of mercury is crippling. But it all begs the question of why they finally took it out of medicine if it was so wonderful with mercury in it.
