Bush cites Moon's org partner as "suspected WMD proliferators"
Edited on Thu Jun-30-05 12:17 PM by Cell Whitman
(edited to add photos and stuff)

I am sorry if this is repetitive, not the best writer but I do hope this sinks into the nation's minds...

Let's be perfectly clear, the Moon organization would have fallen on its face had not the conservative movement in America accepted and honored Moon and his front groups such as the Washington Times.

In the orient, Japan and Korea in particular, your power and influence there is in proportion to how much influence you can garner in the United States. Your power in the orient, at least till today, has been based on how much pull you have in the USA. The world's business and politics flow from the USA. If you have pull here and can show it, you have it in the orient in spades.

By accepting Moon's propaganda rag, by buying into all of Moon's lies and bullshit, by accepting and working with his front groups here in the USA, by ignoring the warnings of the Fraser congressional committee, the conservative movement's leaders GAVE MOON HUGE FACE around the world. THIS ALLOWED HIM TO OPERATE. That is why he came here, NOT because he is a good "family values" conservative or wants to "save" America. Moon has called the United States "Satan's harvest" but statements like that for years previous, didn't stop Reagan and Bush in 1980 from having Moon as a VIP guest at their inaugural. This gave the right the nod that Moon was open for business. In 1980 Reagan, Bush and the Falwell's sent the message to the new right that it was OK to rationalize working with someone whose stated goal has always been the "natural subjugation of the American government and population. A man who says it is his job as the "messiah" to raise up the religious right to control America, which he HAS spent billions doing.

If Reagan and Bush 41 and their naive conservative followers had stood up for our nation and against the influence of Moon, he would NEVER have gotten where he is today. Would not have happened. But instead of standing up for our nation, they stood WITH Moon. From that moment Moon's operation was in high gear and free to do its "thing" all over the planet.

I believe Moon has been in the middle of our negotiations with NK at least since 1991 when Moon visited NK. That includes the Clinton years. I would not doubt that NK demanded Moon's participation. Believe me, this was all empowered by years of conservative mainstreaming of Moon.

Please read Gorenfeld's latest here (click on the cover) His article is just another part of the tip of the iceberg. Moon has given "tens of millions" to help keep NK afloat. The world has no clue.

Conservatives were blind. For keep in mind, Moon has NEVER, NEVER, NEVER been on their "side". He is on Moon's side and ONLY on Moon's side. Well, one of Moon's goals is that Korea be #1 in the world. What were they thinking? Believe me the Koreans and the Japanese are not impressed with some black ministers who fall for your "peace" bulldroppings. They are impressed by political power in the main arena. True, only a few liberals like Congressman Donald Fraser and his committee tried to stand up and say it was wrong to help Moon. But it was the conservatives who welcomed him, openly worked with him and aided his efforts to manipulate our political process and by extension our nation.

WITHOUT MOON CONSERVATIVES ARE NOT IN POWER IN AMERICA.

Well, now we have Moon right in the middle of the North Korean problem (as Moon predicted in 70s see below) and Bush has had to take steps against the Moon organization's partners for being "suspected weapons of mass destruction (WMD) proliferators.

Make no mistake the soul selling, naive, short sighted conservative movement made this possible. Moon's influence would have shriveled on the vine without their acceptance. But the problem isn't just WMD, MOON MOLDED THE NEW RIGHT. He financed, guided and molded the new right into what we see today.

Thank you Ronald Reagan and George Bush 41 for selling our nation and the world down the river. Conservatives are short sighted and power hungry.

Maybe now our press will look to see if Moon's organization cited here, has been our nation's conduit for face to face meetings with North Korea. Maybe they will look and see who the New York Channel really is.

Maybe the press will now become interested in national security. Moon is one shark who has been ignored in our waters for too long.

So, Jr. Bush, thanks for taking this step, too bad your Dad and your political movement were responsible for helping to make it necessary.....your actions are WAY, WAY, WAY too late.

The United States is targeting three North Korean firms, including a trading company involved in a joint venture with a South Korean carmaker, under a new executive order to freeze the assets of suspected weapons of mass destruction (WMD) proliferators.

The order, signed by U.S. President George W. Bush on Wednesday, singles out the Korea Mining Development Trading Corporation, Tanchon Commercial Bank and the Korea Ryonbong General Corporation as companies believed to be assisting in the spread of WMDs.

....

However, experts in Seoul expressed surprise over the inclusion of Korea Ryonbong General Corporation, a Pyongyang-based company that in 2002 launched an automobile assembly line together with South Korea’s Pyonghwa Motors.

The South Korean firm, owned by Rev. Moon Sun-myung’s Unification Church, invested about 71 billion won in the plant located in the North Korean city of Nampo, according to news reports.

.....
The South Korean government has sought to play down the significance of the U.S. executive order. But officials and experts in Seoul privately expressed concerns that it could slow inter-Korean economic engagement and damage hopes of resuming the stalled six-party nuclear talks.

``The order is basically the same as imposing economic sanctions,’’ a government official said on condition of anonymity. ``This kind of measure may make local firms, many of which have assets in the U.S., think twice before doing business with North Korea.’’

Under the executive order, the U.S. Treasury Department is able to freeze assets not only of the listed companies but also those of any person or organization that has business dealings with them.

``President Bush signed an executive order to combat trafficking of weapons of mass destruction and proliferation-related materials by cutting off financing and other support for proliferation networks,’’ a White House fact sheet said.

Download "Introductory video" HERE.

Here George and Barbara Bush greet Mrs. Messiah backstage at the Tokyodome. Bush's soul selling gave Moon HUGE HUGE HUGE face around the world. Japan is where the Moon org swindled hundreds of millions, likely billions, targeting widows with their schemes.

Here's Jerry helping another Moon front group gain face.

Please take note of the six countries Moon mentioned here in the 70s - from the 1978 Fraser Report, they are the SAME six now involved in the "six way talks" ...

Anti-communism is one key reason for Moon's espousal of a worldwide theocracy and rejection of some of the most fundamental tenets of American democracy. Moon finds "American-style democracy" to be "a good nursery for the growth of Communism.'' In a speech in Seoul, Moon proclaimed that God was helping to set up a final battle involving the United States, Russia, China, North Korea, South Korea, and Japan...... The Moon Organization has self-proclaimed goals of controlling political and secular institutions and a strident ideology which envisions the formation of a "Unification Crusade Army." Moon's speeches foresee an apocalyptic confrontation involving the United States, Russia, China, Japan, and North and South Korea, in which the Moon Organization would play a key role.

___

From Robert Parry's classic series on Moon

By the mid-1980s, Moon’s Unification Church had carved out a niche as an acceptable part of the American right. In one speech to his followers, Moon boasted that “without knowing it, even President Reagan is being guided by Father (Moon).”Yet, Moon also made clear that his longer-range goal was the destruction of the U.S. Constitution and America’s democratic form of government. “History will make the position of Reverend Moon clear, and his enemies, the American population and government will bow down to him.” Moon said, speaking of himself in the third person. “That is Father’s tactic, the natural subjugation of the American government and population.”

7. excellent point blm.
The liberal "media" has been negligent in not covering Moon. The country has no idea and I wonder if they ever will see the "big" picture most liberals don't even see it..

This whole thing is right there for anyone who looks. They refuse. This has allowed him, among other things, to make deeper inroads with Black ministers. The ministers never hear who Moon really is, all they see is him saying "true love" this and that. They are not told so only Moon's deceptive view is seen by them.

11. Reagan used the Moon organization to spy on Americans
Edited on Thu Jun-30-05 01:14 PM by Cell Whitman
Moon recently said that as the owner of the Washington Times he can get all our "secrets" if he wants.

Here is another example of putting Moon above America.

From Robert Parry:

http://www.consortiumnews.com/archive/moon7.html

Perhaps even more remarkable, the Reagan administration showed greater respect for Moon's constitutional rights than those of some U.S. citizens. Starting in 1981, the FBI cooperated with one of Moon's front groups during a five-year nationwide investigation of the Committee in Solidarity with the People of El Salvador (CISPES), a domestic organization critical of Reagan's policies in Central America, according to FBI documents cited by The Boston Globe. (April 20, 1988)

In 1981, the FBI began collecting reports from Moon's Collegiate Association for the Research of Principles (CARP) which was spying on CISPES supporters. Those reports came from CARP members at 10 university campuses around the United States and included the purported political beliefs of Reagan's critics. One CARP report called a CISPES supporter "well-educated in Marxism" while other CARP reports attached "clippings culled from communist-inspired front groups."

The Globe reported that Frank Varelli, who worked for the FBI from 1981-84 coordinating the CISPES probe, said an FBI agent paid members of the Moon organization at Southern Methodist University while the Moon activists were raiding and disrupting CISPES rallies. "Every week, an agent I worked with used to go to SMU to pay the Moonies," Varelli said in an interview. Because of the CARP harassment, CISPES closed its SMU chapter.

here's the order:

I would think that NK will take this action as a form of sanctions. Something they warned against anyone doing through the UN.

15. So far, all things Moon seem to go by the ignore it defense
they just don't bite and the "liberal" media can't push it through.

It is just now hitting the news stands, but Gorenfeld's article in the Prospect so far has not made a ripple. I wonder how many here even passed it on and asked their local newspaper about it. Or sent it to Olberman or what not...

...Moon often gets what he wants, just not the way people expect:

http://www.mediachannel.org/originals/moontranscript.shtml

Narrator: Moon sought to influence the American political agenda by pouring more than a billion dollars into media.

Warder: "Moon looked on the media as almost the nervous system for a global empire."

Narrator: In the 1970's, Michael Warder became one of the most important Americans in the Unification movement. Warder says he had close contact with Moon for six years.

Warder: "Moon was the brain, and the media are to be, or were to be, the communications vehicle for his body politic surrounding the globe."

Narrator: Warder was responsible for managing "News World," Moon's daily newspaper in New York City.

Warder: "Moon wanted total control of the media, so there would be no independent media with journalistic integrity. It would be a media totally loyal to Moon."

_____

I'd say keeping your head in the sand is a good way to show your loyalty - though most do not see what they are doing. imho...

14. Snowe's statement - is there a lawyer in the house?
Wonder how this fit in with Moon's whole green card thing? If they are doing business with the NK group on the list in Korea, does that mean people who go to work for the WT each day are helping the terrorists until Moon divests of his partnership? Or is he, as always, protected by legal mumbo jumbo and conservative politicians?

http://usinfo.state.gov/is/Archive/2005/Jun/30-697665.html

"The Treasury's unique authorities allow us to target the financial underpinnings of a range of national security threats, from terrorism to narcotics traffickers to rogue regimes. By applying these powers against weapons of mass destruction, we deny proliferators and their supporters access to the U.S. financial system and starve them of funds needed to build deadly weapons and threaten innocents around the globe.

"Today's Order carries with it an annex that designates eight organizations in North Korea, Iran and Syria responsible for WMD and missile programs. The designation freezes any property the organizations may have under U.S. jurisdiction and prohibits U.S. persons from doing business with them. Today's action is just the first step in our efforts to dismantle the financial and support networks that facilitate WMD proliferation, and we will continue to designate individuals and entities under this Order found to be playing a role in the proliferation of WMD.
