Be on the lookout! Afghan resergence to prove violence grows with presence

President Bush's speech Tuesday night was all about "fighting terrorists in Iraq". I thought one of prime reasons we went into Iraq was precisely "to stop it from becoming a haven for terrorists"? Am I wrong?

A resurgence in violence is starting to break out in Afghanistan now two years after President Bush announced "the Taliban is history". The public will slowly start to see proof that it is our continued presence in these countries that is breeding this violence, and the longer we stay, the worse it will get.

People talk about "pulling troops out of Iraq", but we haven't even pulled our troops out of Afghanistan (20,000 coallition troops, most ours), and it's nowhere near as bad there... yet.
