6. As the bumper sticker says, when Clinton lied, no one died
Most Americans realize that Clinton's failure to disclose his private indiscretion did not involve risking hundreds of thousands of lives by taking this country to war.

8. Well...
...the quesion was if they would support impeachment IF Bush lied.

My guess is that there is still a substantial fraction of those 42% who will need to be convinced that he did lie, and they are obviously open to listening.

16. Thats scary
if he lied, what is no question anymore...

Totally right. Scary. All the others find it policy as usual to lie for war???

18. I agree

Apparently, 50% answered that he shouldn't be impeached even IF all those thousands are dead because of his lies.

But more likely, they had a negative gut reaction to hearing "impeachment" and "Bush" in the same sentence.

19. I think a lot of them say no
because they just don't want to believe that *Bush lied. Once they come to realize that he really did lie, I think that more people would be in favor of impeachment. I can't believe that 60% of the people would believe it is ok to lie your way into a war.

23. I read this as a cue for Democrats to start rumblings
"impeachable offense" ought to become a part of every Democratic official's vocabulary now when they talk about Iraq, DSM
