I'm watching Howard Stern and this chick couldn't even name the Vice President. Howard asked if she knew whether he was republican or democrat and she said democrat. Then as she was leaving, Howard told her that the VP was Colin Powell, and she said OK (totally unsuspecting). Please tell me this is not typical :-( I'm about to poll my friends RIGHT NOW!!!

Jay Leno used to do a segment called Jay Walking where he would go to the streets and ask people simple questions about the world or politics. The answers were telling and sad.

4. A few months ago a friend & I polled a bar, at 1am. |
|
I got frusterated that NOBODY knew who Tom DeLay was so I suggested we poll the busy bar about who voted, period.
2, we got 2 out of 50-60 people asked.
TWO.

8. It was pretty funny. My friend took one side of the bar, I the other. |
|
We were shitfaced but polite and only one person told me to piss off, everyone else was either glad to be asked a question or simply interested in the fact that we were interested.

9. I'll be honest here... |
|
I'm like the only person in my circle of friends who really pays attention to politics and I'm almost 100% sure that nobody I know is familiar with Tom Delay. But to not know the VP?? Thats just plain...well...bliss :-)

If you're watching Howard Stern, you're part of the problem. Don't give that creep ratings...watch the Daily Show!

My remote accidentally took me to his show. I guess that was one step up from seeing Arnold's personal press conference.

I always feel tainted when I "misclick" and land on Howeird. Like looking at a car accident, I know that I'm not gonna take away anything positive from the experience. Can't click away fast enough....

13. Not totally the same but |

I went to NY and went to the UN during the pre Iraq war build up. I admit, I'm a UN groupie. I'm completely in awe at what the UN stands for. I'm standing in line and listening to the other folks. Seriously, some think they are visiting the state government. The brilliant one points out that there is more than 50 flags above them so it can't be an American thing. :eyes: I guess I should celebrate that at least they went to the UN but the ignorance is just absurd.
