Last night Keith Olbermann's MSNBC show Countdown led with the Rove/Plame story. Olbermann has been doing consistently outstanding work and his show is now the highest rated offering on MSNBC, sometimes getting double the viewers of Hardball's Chris "tweety" Matthews. Here's what we can all do to keep Countdown strong.
Diaries :: JustWinBaby's diary :: ::
The Rove/Plame segment went in depth with guests Craig Crawford and former White House counsel John Dean. Needless to say, no other show on the dial would have had the guts to lead with it, and it is typical of the great work they do.
What we should do:
Make a habit of watching Countdown.
Tell people about this cool, witty, smart show.
Blog the show on your blog.
Bookmark and link to the show's web site.
Bookmark and link to Olbermann's blog.
Email them good wishes and story ideas. Make your voices heard.
As MSNBC makes a rumored transition to the "NBC News Channel" we should all help keep Countdown their highest rated offering. At the same time, their decision to rely on Chris Matthews as their lead anchor for big events is made all the more silly by his declining and insignificant ratings. A success strategy from a business point of view would be to feature Olbermann more. We can all help that happen.
