SURPRISE! Army gives 'secret' $5 BILLION of work to Halliburton

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. military has signed on Halliburton to do nearly $5 billion in new work in Iraq under a giant logistics contract that has so far earned the Texas-based firm $9.1 billion, the Army said on Wednesday.

Linda Theis, a spokeswoman for U.S. Army Field Support Command in Rock Island, Illinois, said the military signed the work order with Halliburton unit Kellogg Brown and Root in May.

The new deal, worth $4.97 billion over the next year, was not made public when it was signed because the Army did not consider such an announcement necessary, she said. "We did not announce this task order as this is really not something we ever really thought about doing," said Theis.

1. And apparently NOT THINKING is a trait that this wench thinks is
common to all of us. Like, we wouldn't think that there's something pretty frigging dirty in this deal. And we wouldn't think that doing it unannounced amounts sounds like there's some more details that they need to hide. And hell, what's the big deal anyway? We should be used to Halliburton screwing us.

2. More of our US service people and innocent people get jailed and tortured.
While Halliburton lines Cheney's pockets with money.

7. Of course they didn't...because they knew how it would look
"At this point, why don't we just hand Halliburton the keys to the U.S. Treasury and tell them to turn off the lights when they are done," Democratic Senator Frank Lautenberg said in a statement.

8. Well, what the hell do you expect.
Our government is going to keep handing out all these "secret" contracts, which should in theory help protect troops and bring them home sooner. but instead, all it will do is ah anger building, cant create coherent sentences, damnit all to fucking hell.

10. so lemme get this straight . . .
Halliburton is going to be hired (again!) to do jobs formerly done by GIs, all as part of BushCo's drive to privatize as much of the military as possible . . . and Halliburton will pay their people hundreds of dollars a day to do this work, and tack on 100% or more for administration, overhead, and profit . . . all while these same GIs are freed up to do the fighting at, what, fifty bucks a day? . . .

and Halliburton will continue to post HUGE profits (in the past, this was called war profiteering, and it was illegal), and when Cheney returns as CEO, he'll be paid upteen millions for making the company SO profitable during his tenure as VP . . . as WE, the American taxpayers, are footing the bill for all of this . . .

is that about right? . . .

13. This is YOUR CHILDREN'S MONEY!!!!
bush* and the Republicans are putting this on the Credit Card.
The Children will have to pay this bill.
The Republicans have made sure that it isn't THEIR (RICH) Children that will pay this bill. They have given THEMSELVES and THEIR CHILDREN HUGE TAXCUTS and repealed the Inheritance Tax so that THEY won't be footing the bill for this obscene war profiteering. Unless YOu are in the TOP 1%, YOUR CHILDREN will pay for the War Profiteer's riches for generations to come!

TALK about Taxation WITHOUT Representation!
THIS IS a Republican Family Value!!!"Lets STEAL the money from YOUR kids"!!!!

Where is the OUTRAGE!!!!
