So, Carlson is trying to do to "covert" what Clinton did with
"sexual relations". Time to point out the irony!

3. He claims she was not a covert agent
Last night he said her Vanity Fair article proves it. He gave no evidence tonight but Rachel Maddow cleaned his clock.

6. Rachel has won the argument two nights in a row
She has outsmarted Tucker. She said Plame was definitely a covert agent and Tucker is going to lose the argument that she was not. Last night, there was some conservative commentator on there saying Plame was nothing but a file clerk at the CIA. But he wasn't back tonight.

8. Carlson actully tried to deny Valerie Plame was a covert operative?
Does he also say the world is flat?

I thought he had more brains than the average moran.

9. Why would the WH bother to out a CIA file clerk?
Answer, they wouldn't. They outed a CIA agent no matter what bow tie boy says.

11. Exactly

And if a file clerk told her boss at the CIA, "My husband used to be ambassador to Gabon and is considered an expert on uranium mining in Africa; maybe he'd be a good person to send on that special assignment to Niger," would anybody consider that nepotism?

19. Whew.. I was ready to hit "alert" on you
Tucker should be ashamed, because even I think he's smarter than he leads on. He probably knows he's full of shite. Like others have said, he just likes the big paycheck.

5. Exactly
This type of reasoning needs to be thrown back in their faces, because Carlson isn't the only one using it.

Clinton was villified for his wordplay, but he was talking about sperm on a dress. There was no real consequence to the country, but to his marriage.

The same people who villified him are using the same ploy he did over something with much more significance. The administration was willing to out the name of a covert CIA agent in order to discredit her husband, who was discrediting the evidence for the case against Iraq.

I wish the journalists like Olbermann and more would serve this irony up to these bigmouths in the form of humble pie.

15. Palme's Vanity Fair profile
was published six months AFTER she was outed. At that point, thanks to Rove, Novak, Cooper and maybe Miller, she had nothing to hide!

The Vanity Fair mention proves nothing.

Foiled again, bowtie.

2. I have this weird feeling...
That when he gets done with a show, he goes back to the dressing room, stands in front of a mirror and punches himself in the mouth.

Lots. Many times.

17. What I mean is that
if she werent covert then why would the outing have harmed her. Theyre saying she was a file clerk so why did they out a file clerk? Common sense kills these wingers

18. Exactly, why is a journalist going to jail if she was not covert?
If she wasn't covert, then printing an article was not a "crime" because her name couldn't have technically been "leaked".

16. Larry Johnson would disagree with Tucker.
He was an under cover agent. I rather believe Larry Johnson than Tucker.
