So, how long before the UK PATRIOT Act?
Thank God we took Saddam out of power.

This is the official website of the UK Security Service (MI5).

The Security Service is responsible for protecting the UK against threats to national security. This website provides information on the current major threats to UK security and practical advice to help businesses and organisations to protect against them.

Just my suspicion.

4. Never Heard of the MI5?
They do indeed play along with it. The MI5 is a securtity force that spies on the British populace.

5. It's true they have a lot more Big Brother stuff in the UK...
including the MI5 and security cameras EVERYWHERE... (which incidentally will make the investigation of these bombings rather interesting). Personal freedom isn't quite the same thing over there.

Nevertheless... it's hard for me to see the British rallying around Blair and letting him institute whatever draconian legislation he wants, as happened here.

I guess we'll see, though.

6. There will be no UK Patriot Act. They have a saying over there,
The only thing we have to fear is fear itself. I know, it should have been our saying, but we got stuck with the yellow-back chickenhawks who fear everything.

The UK has endured war, and terrorists bombing before with resolve. They will do so again. Maybe if we watch closely, we can learn a lot.

In the meantime, send them a card to show your support and concern. They deserve it.
