Leave the politicizing and manipulating of this tragedy to the Bushists.

:sarcasm:

PS: All Bush can do is manipulate and politicize. Fortunately, at least some of us are not going to be distracted by this event in London from our business as usual: keeping our eye on the ball.

It seems pointless to demand from every DUer one mode of risk-free behavior, but tragedies like this have a way of raising the sanctimony level.

10. I Think the Olympics and These Attacks Are Coincidental and Unrelated
More likely, these guys are going after the UK because of Bush's Poodle and their actions in Iraq.

3. Coincidence: AWOL Bush not in D.C. during terrorist attack
and Blair not in London during their terrorist attack.

hmmmmm.. that's pretty convenient for them.

4. Isn't that the problem?
We should be seeking co-operation with the world in ending the terrorism by concentrating the effort against terrorist organizations instead of perpetuating the lies concerning Iraq that that is the war on terrorism. Defeating terrorism won't entail bombs and invasions but co-ordinating intelligence agencies and improving covert activities.

5. o yeah right, lets give them even MORE leverage
stand up to them, and use whatever weapons you can get a hold of

if we use this tragedy to stop the bush/blair crusade, it will save many lives and make sure that those that died did not die in vain

7. How about leaving off attempts at emotional manipulation
of the subject then? I think that would be good. I think we'll be ahead of the game of we stop trying to squelch speculation on who commited these acts, and arguments over the speculation.

Stop saying we're wrong to discuss politics on a political forum. How simply stupid is that?? It's insulting, and I resent it. This isn't a church forum. It's not a highshcool board. It's not a newspaper current affairs section. This is not a sympathy forum. It's Democratic Underground. We talk. About politics. There is nothing disrespectful going on here. I'm not manipulating a damn thing.

So how about everyone stop trying to tell us to shut up, eh? Cause it's really starting to sound suspicious, please quit sounding like their spin doctors, with the "respect the families" and "now is not the time".
