Edited on Thu Jul-07-05 08:22 AM by Bouncy Ball
When he spoke this morning, he kept mentioning how the leaders at the G8 summit all "have resolve like HIM." LIKE HIM. LIKE HIM. LIKE HIM. LIKE HIM.

LIKE HIM. IT'S ALWAYS ABOUT HIM, IT'S ALWAYS ABOUT HIM. WHY IS IT ALWAYS ABOUT HIM????

It's not. It's not always about him. He's an asshole and when making comments like this, all he can think about is to get in five more sentences about how he has "resolve."

He's got bupkus. He's got shit. He's an asshole, because all he can think about is himself. He doesn't even give a shit about Americans, does he really think he's going to convince anyone he cares about everyday Londoners? Bullshit.

Asshole.

Sorry if this is politicizing the situation, but I was embarrassed to hear him turn it into a speech a-fucking-bout HIMSELF YET AGAIN. Gads. It just isn't possible for him to make ONE fucking selfless statement, is it? Not a single one. Had to thrown in, too, about how he's about to "get to work." WELL THAT WOULD BE A NEW THING NOW WOULDN'T IT? *THAT* WOULD BE NOVEL INDEED!!! Yes, let's see bush doing that amazing thing called work. No, all I've ever seen the asshole do is smirk for a few cameras, act belligerent to journalists, pretend to wield a chainsaw, fucking fall off a bike, snicker and hiss, look like a deer in the headlights, and run off to the pig farm. The day I actually see that man do some WORK.....

6. hey, I'm frustrated at everything, Dems, Repubs, Centrists....
I saw people attack other people on this board last night, read Freepers attacking other Freepers on their board earlier today. It just seems like nobody can get along. Like you can't trust anybody to protect our country and this world. The right thing seems to not exist right now. I'm getting cynical. Very cynical.

I just pray and look to my faith, and keep on doing my thing.

8. He thinks this is about him!
Here's a sentence from what he said this morning:

"I was most impressed by the resolve of all the leaders in the room," Bush said. "Their resolve is as strong as my resolve."

He really does think this is all about him. And he thinks everyone else has to seek his approval.

We're in such big trouble with a megalomaniac like this making decisions ... Just wait. This is going to get a lot worse.

HE'S ALWAYS GOT TO MAKE IT ABOUT HIM!!!! I mean seriously what the FUCK is wrong with him??? People like that have NO social skills and worse. Megalomania, exactly. Scary scary shit when someone can only think about THEMSELVES and their political gain in a time like this.

Fucker.

32. You know what? I would pay good money
to see Tony Blair (or, hell, any leader of one of America's allies) turn to Bush and say to him "it's not always about YOU". Can you imagine Bush's face if it had been Blair making the "I was most impressed by the resolve...their resolve is as strong as my resolve" statement without putting Bush front and center as the most important person in the room? Or if anyone ever decided to do anything without seeking his approval? I can already picture steam coming out of his ears. Megalomaniac is not a word I throw around lightly, but I do believe he is one.

I, too, feel that things are going to get worse.

36. You know what else?
I've known one or two people who are as self-centered as he is. Obviously they didn't have his level of power, but one thing that struck me about them is that they NEVER had close friends. They might have aquaintances, but NO close friends. No one could stand them.

44. You've made a good point.
I've known a couple in my life too, and the thing is that while they can be very social people, the impression I've had is that in the end they're only doing it because it looks good, not because there's any real feeling involved towards anyone else. It's still always about them. No empathy whatsoever.

Have you noticed too with people like that, that they're really offended if you ever point out their self-centeredness? They're so self-centered, they don't even see that they're self-centered.

He's trying to score political points when all he needed to say was

We feel for our ally, know what they are going through and offer our full support in this their time of need......

You and I both know, as all people on this board do as well, this thing about always bringing it back to violence just escallates the whole situation.....

Right after Blair spoke, the newscaster said that georgie was going to have something to say and I thought to myself why the hell should he have anything to say. 47. crap
he couldn't be sincere if his life depended on it .But no matter how dumb or void his statement was , it does not blur one thing .That we in Europe ,share much more with the US than mere policy .When we are hit by terror , the stomachs of americans grew just as heavy as ours .And so too does it go vice versa .

We're all sickened when something like this happens , Bush seems to turn it into policy as ever .but no worries just reading trough these pages is enough to realize it really is him being the problem ,not a nation or such .

proves again JFK was right ,we're all born in one world , we're all going to die in one world , so we better learn to live in one world .

My thoughts go out to all those struck by this dark and heinous deed , but also those who live with this on a daily basis , I cannot imagine living in such .

51. The look on the bastard's face during Blair's address angered me.
He looked like he couldn't wait for Blair to stop talking so he could take center stage.

We all know the world looks to Bu$h for strength in times of crisis. :sarcasm:

or has just been so catered to his whole life that and was too stupid to realize his servants were paid to fawn over him.

62. I had pretty much the same reaction after hearing him this am
I was embarrassed that he is the main rep/spokesman for our country. It's all so sad. What happened, what is happening and that someone like Bush has so much power and control.

66. And, why do you think that, when all those world leaders
were there, and standing around Blair when he made his statement, that NOT ONE of them was standing with Bush when he made his? It's the "We don't need no freaking help," syndrome. Look at me! Forget all those other people. What an asshole.

it's an on-going bush family character flaw brought about imo by their insatiable meddling into virtually everything on the plate like a 'people' that so willfully take at least one bite out of every donut in the box tainting the rest for the rest

75. what a git!
My British co-worker taught me that wonderful word. (I'm certain she's okay ... just as I'm sure that, when she e-mails me about this, she will say the same thing about Bush.)

For once, for bloody once in his life, couldn't he say, "and my resolve is as strong as THEIRS"? Can he simply not bring himself to defer to a group of people who are, according to international law, his peers and NOT his subordinates?

And Tony Blair, like him or not, put everything on the line for Bush -- but for his loyalty, he's paid in terms of his political credibility, and now his own people have had to pay as well. And Bush doesn't lift a finger, to support Blair's poverty and environmental initiatives. (Which, if they succeed, have a better chance at reducing conflicts around the world this century than anything Bush is doing right now.)
