2. I don't think so.
I've heard more like 30-40. Don't know the # of wounded though.

10. 'Wounded' includes light wounds too
for instance, one hospital in the middle of the afternoon (UK time) said it had admitted about 180 injured, and already discharged 130.

8. The seriously wounded--burns, amputees and the like
Your basic "humdrum" injuries seen in Iraq daily, perpetuated against the Iraqis and soldiers on both sides--taking the invasion to the streets~

6. No, 700 wounded
though I heard a much higher figure this morning on NPR, whom I trust more (particularly since they are getting their information from the BBC.)

I keep hearing around 40 dead, but to my knowledge, they have not released figures from the bus.

7. Casualties = Injured.
I think they should say "injured" but "casualties" makes it sound even more devastating.

9. Thank God...
I can't believe this is happening again - it makes me so angry at the failure of leadership in this country on so many levels.

I knew this type of thing would happen after Iraq - at least if it were because we caught bin Laden or were dismantling al Qaeda in Afghanistan or *gasp* Saudi Arabia, we would know that it might actually be WORTH the cost we are having to bear.

Thank God the figures aren't that high - I got very scared for a moment. Haven't been around since the AM, when they were saying totals "could" be in double digits and "only" 2 confirmed dead. Such a tragedy.
