Desperation Leaking into Repubs Pup Tent
From Limbaugh to the talking heads on cable TV, one can sense their desperation to show the latest poll to prove Dubya's popularity or support from the American people. But they are doing it with a high pitch in their voice and a sense of urgency. They are yelling over anyone that might disagree...just moreso than in the past. And they are doing it with more repetition than in any time in recent months. They are worried and they want to head this bad news off at the pass. Bush has gone under 50% in some polls and panic is immediate. Let us hope the condition continues...

1. ya know, kentuck
it occurred to me yesterdy while I was watching the whores shrill for the "president" it's got to be exceedingly difficult to do. I mean, cheerleading while his popularity was supposedly high was one thing. Cheerleading while soldiers are dying and the economy is in the shitter is another matter.

5. They are different from Dems in that respect, I think....
At the first hint of trouble, they panic. They attack. They shit on themselves...

and about to get more so. They can spin all they want, but the reality in Iraq and the economy is pretty damn unspinnable anymore.

6. I saw Tom DeLay ...
on CSPAN about an hour ago. The wall behind him said Heritage, so I'm assuming it was a speech to the Heritage Foundation. Anyway, he was whining about Kennedy and the Dems bashing Bush. Funny thing about the speech - he wasn't ranting and raving; he was very calm and quiet, almost soft-spoken ... and he was sweating a lot!

Did anyone else see it? It was weird ... I've never seen him so restrained.

15. I think the BBV revelations have caught them with their pants
down (BBV stuff starting to dribble out into the mainstream press--saw a story in the middle of last night on the telly), and with the polls and people starting to realize what a criminal bunch of creeps they are, they may be realizing that they have done it again. Drat! Curses! We got overconfident and shat in our nest again! Whose fault is this? We did buy the big box of microwave popcorn for the duration here. Sitting back on the couch to watch the World Series, Super Bowl and the GOP conflageration. Sex slavery is our biggest problem right now. Why can't people see it?

7. I noticed that too
the other day while listening to Hannity. He was almost screaming into the mic "What should we have done? There could have been a chemical weapon released!" and on and on. I almost wanted to hug him and tell him to calm down, and to not be so afraid. Let him know that there really weren't any weapons there.

9. I am happy to see that the Republicans are out of their hubris mode...
Edited on Thu Sep-25-03 01:49 PM by The Night Owl
The Republicans are out of their hubris mode and into their worry mode. That said, we Democrats must not let these recent polls lull us out of our worry mode and into our hubris mode.

Bush is not out of The White House until he is out of The White House.

11. Hell, no
I doubt we will. Everyone I know is very focused and we got our game-brain on. We're here to win-then punish those criminals that have done this to the greatest country on Earth.

13. Like Churchill said about nazis...
They are either at your throat or at your feet (i.e., groveling).

Winston was brutal.
