The Christian edict of responsibility (amongst many others) surely doesn't apply to the globalized corporations who feel they're free to do whatever they want, whereever they want, whenever they want to.
We're apologists for the terrorists when we say that those in power have a RESPONSIBILITY to be moral and ethical? Give me strength!!
If a bully taunted you, you would probably hit him back in return. Yet you now say that it's okay for the USA to do whatever it wants, to whomever, and whenever, and not expect repercussions and consequences? This goes back to their OWN shovelling of "responsibilities" and all the other cozy catchphrases the Bible tells us.
And those who call us apologists (namely those who do the globalized bullying) won't ever understand that. They are hypocrites to their own religion. THEY are bullies who PROVOKE terror. Willfully.
Yet the bully-apologists seem to think it's OKAY for people to behave like bullies with no consequences.
If America truly was innocent of ANYTHING that would allow the terrorists the impetus needed to respond; and what they did was SOLELY out of pure malice and NOTHING MORE, then prove to us that THAT is the case. That includes rendering EVERY classified document public domain; especially the 2001 secret enegy meetings (which included, you guessed it, Afghanistan and a certain pipeline deal that was said to have fallen through...)! If the US is truly undeserving of the attacks, drop the cloak'n'dagger shit and open up the documents and prove it. Come clean or don't expect people to blindly support you, Mr. and Ms. Politicians. You play secrets with us, we may not respond like the sheep you want us to be.
And if that is the case, you bet I'll change my mindset. You bet I'll apologize for my ignorance and sheer stupidity! You bet I'll enlist of my own accord and destroy the rabble and wade up to my armpits in blood before my blood joins the stream!
And you know what? You supporters won't be able to prove it and you politicians dare not because too many people can't take you at face value. Too many secrets. Too much classification. Too much talk. Too much chicanery. Too much covering up. And too much being revealed! Too much to be taken; the credibility is LOST. It needs to be RESTORED. That is a fair assertion.
It's just as much being civil and mature in the first place. Please prove to me that America is TOTALLY AND UTTERLY INNOCENT of Iraq, 9/11, and everything that led to those events. And you know what? I don't think you can. But I ask you to try. Please prove me wrong. But I don't think you can. The US has always been about eminent domain, has said so in the past, and has proven its intend in the past. I implore you. Release the documents. Prove we who were angered over the invasions are wrong in our beliefs. I will repent if you've been right all along. But what if you weren't right and we are right in our mindset of being against what is going on? Given Rove and Plame and many other high-ranking scandals right now, this attack itself is suspicious too. But that's an inference.
Destroy our credibility. I dare you. But you can't. The US is not innocent I fear. And while nothing justified the attacks against us, that doesn't mean we're even remotely justified in our arrogance, exploitation, and bullying either.
