What should we do about that? Show that Liberals are not Weak; they don't want to just stick their heads in a hole in the ground and pretend that everything is okay (like a lot of people do on BOTH SIDES of these issues).

Liberals are strong because we are smart AND Creative.

We think horizontally and laterally, e.g. I tend to chunck information cognitively, so I tend to be about 5 minutes head of lots of conversation - BAD habit, i'm sorry, but is the way my brain works. It has proven pretty useful raising teenagers and teaching high school seniors. I am not an unusual person in Liberal groups, outside of those groups I am, sometimes I'm even regarded with suspicion. Conservatives have always derided the notion of diplomacy in dealing with these matters. Not sure why, but they always get their jollies in "let's go out and kick some butt." They see JFK as an appeaser and Clinton as one also. I never understood what was so wrong with going to the negotiating table before you HAVE to go to war.
