No idea who it really is yet.

Seems Bush's illegal Invasion of Iraq has made the world much more dangerous not safer. Everyday 100's of innocent people are getting killed because of Bu$h's War on Terra. It seems that everything they predicted after 9-11 about how to win this war has turned out to either be a lie or just plain wrong.

But the icing on the cake of this misadministration's gross incompetence is that after 3.5 years, 1700+ US Troops dead, 100,000+ civilians dead, who knows how many injured for life, we still can't find Osama!

Of course, since Bu$h had to get his war on in Iraq, Afghanistan became an after thought. Maybe, just maybe if Bu$h had focused on Afghanistan and actually caught Osama and the other bad guys, and maybe if Afghanistan's poppy fields weren't back to full production, and maybe if we really did bring democracy, law and order to Afghanistan, al Qaeda and the Taliban wouldn't still be operating.

But no, our fearless leader had to drag us into his little grudge match with Saddam instead. So rather than making us safer, he just creates more terrorist every day. And in the meantime, his rich buddies, that he likes to play golf with, are getting richer every day.

Not much chatter. Maybe one or two support people to provide expertise, training, or supplies, and those may have never have actually strayed into Britain.

Britain has a large unassimilated population, many young of which have 'found their roots' in radical ways. Not all; not most; merely many. Some have wandered abroad for training and further radicalization. When they return, the knowledge comes with them; forensic analysis of the bombs and bomb bits should prove illuminating.

I also expect that if I look around, I'll find that this idea is already up on various sites.

4. The reason for no chatter:

They terrorists are intelligent and they can learn. They are learning, too. They are learning from the pressure we are putting on them and they are learning from our failures. Remember, the mideast is not populated by nothing but "camel jockeys". Many, many people from that area have been educated in the finest universities, intelligence services and war colleges of the west. We have had a number of them train in our advanced military courses. They know good tradecraft. We taught them.

Now, they are teaching us, because too many of our political and military leaders are entering into this with their predjudices and preconceived notions full on.

In our efforts, I see nothing but bumbling, pridefulness and miscalculation. Just like Nam. This is different, however: These people have the money and inspiration to bring Nam to our doorsteps.

5. The reason for no chatter

is that after the election, the GOP stopped funding all their websites such has GOPUSA, Talon and BushCountry that created most of the chatter.

then just about anywhere else. I would guess that they might have caught some of this on video.

9. The lack of HUMINT (Human intelligence)

is really an ongoing story/scandal. The budgets of the NSA et al, and the biggest consumer of intel (el presidente and the Department of Defense) have relied on electronic or signals or satellite intel. Uh, has it occured to our current intel consumers that carrier pigeons and a human game of telephone quite upsets the faith in the "listening for chatter" model.

Intelligence experts note that it takes a loooonnnng time to train a human spy - where are we on that one Mr. pRetzeldent, Mr Rumsfailed, Mr. Nogoponte, Ms. Carbohydrate...:shrug:

Demanding new congressional hearings ( you know the people who approve the intel appropriations)..., yeah there's a thought. :sarcasm:
