Cheney to Get High-Tech Pacemaker Exam
WASHINGTON - Vice President Dick Cheney will undergo a routine exam Friday to check the condition of a high-tech pacemaker that was placed in his chest in June 2001.

Cheney spokeswoman Lea Anne McBride said the tests at George Washington University Medical Center would include a physical exam, an electrocardiogram, an echocardiogram and a stress test. The vice president planned to be back at work later in the day, she said.

"It's a routine physical," she said. She said the vice president also would have a colonoscopy later this month.

Cheney has had four heart attacks, though none as vice president. His last checkup was in May 2004, and determined that his pacemaker, called an implantable cardioverter defibrillator, was working fine and had never had to be activated.

8. Mark my words: This bastard is dying; he has 3 months TOPS to live
Edited on Thu Jul-07-05 09:53 PM by Enraged_Ape
We haven't heard a word about this clown since he was admitted to a hospital somewhere in Colorado for "an old football injury". Even with all the crazy stuff going on in the world and in our own country, his little corner has been completely SILENT. Now suddenly this story about how his wonderful Star Trek pacemaker is getting a routine check.

Yeah, right. And I'm the fucking King of Siam.

I'll say my goodbye now, Dick. Though I'd really hate to be in your shoes right now, I can't say I'll miss you when you're gone.

9. I don't know about dying
This article does raise questions considering his visit in Colorado and the lack of appearances. I did another search and so far nothing since the 1st.

I remember the time when the health of leaders was the public's right to know.
