Mr. Bush - will you save our economy from economic terrorists?
Edited on Fri Jul-08-05 08:50 AM by HypnoToad
You know. IBM, and NUMEROUS other companies offshoring to other countries or companies like Toyota putting up plants in countries that are not America, claiming America isn't good enough?!

How can we improve ourselves or our economy if (a) the jobs aren't there once we've gotten our education, (b) foreign countries (especially COMMUNIST China) are buying off parts if not entire corporations left and right, and (c) nobody sees the United States as a viable country anymore? (you remember when communism was bad, right? By not intervening when they first came over with their money, you are basically saying communism is good.)

You are at the helm. Not the predecessor. Not your replacement. YOU are. YOU ARE.

YOU have a responsibility to keep America running. That's your job and the people believe you're capable, hence you got elected in 2004 without the assistance of any court or third party. You were elected and you have your mandate. Will you use it?

America is about to chug and hiccup to a complete stop unless YOU intervene, which is your job to do.

3. You could have been a little more civil but I corrected by blunder.
But I'm sure jobs mean nothing to you; you prefer being sarcastic anyway.

Fine by me.

12. I'm sorry sometimes I think my sarcasm is funny
Apparently it isn't as funny to others. I really meant no offense.

Very true; but if more people asked the same questions he'd be proven in
the eyes of his idiot supporters, yes?

10. There are a LOT of "former" supporters who recognize BushCo's,...
,...commitment to corporate interests over the people's interests. His popularity is crashing. Ashame it took so many too long to see what was right there before them. On the other hand, I am a firm believer that election fraud was committed and this bastard does NOT belong in the WH.

4. America's economic demise rests in the hands of one country
And that country is China. If China wanted to collapse America, it would be very, very easy. Simply start dumping dollars, while at the same time calling in our debt.

America would go down like the Titanic. Granted, the backwash would swamp some other countries, but we would be hurt the worse, and whereas other countries would recover within a few years, we wouldn't.

We live under the Sword of Damacles, and China is the one who holds it.

5. Then maybe they should.
*co doesn't care.

Freepers don't care.

It's obvious some DUers responding to little pathetic me don't care either; making fun of me being more important - which is fine by me.

The US made China. Thanks to Nixon and especially Reagan. We will be hoisted by our own petard, it is only a matter of time.

8. It is a very real disaster waiting to happen
Simply a matter of when, not if. I think every one here knows that and is rightly terrified. I am much mare scared of the looming economic catastrophe than I am of being the victim of a terrorist. Apparently it is the plan of the cabal, since they did their utmost to place us in this predicament.

We are screwed either way. We either will be forced to impose stringent austerity measures or our economy will go down the drain. Seems like we are damned if we do, damned if we don't.

6. It's Clenis' fault. Really. Trust us.
Lancelot Link cannot successfully pick his NOSE without Snarlmaster Cheney supervising. He handed the corporations the keys to this country to literally bulldoze it as they see fit. That's what they've wanted to happen since the 80s. Money is too precious a commodity to be equitably distributed.

They think jobs, like creatures in their sad little creationist theory, pop out of the air like magic, like offshoring is the panacea to well-paying American jobs. Hasn't worked yet, and it never will . . . and frankly, they don't care. They don't care that their jobs numbers don't account for a liveable pay or quantity per person. Job's a job's a job. Doesn't matter if you're living on Kraft Mac n Cheese and can't pay your heating bill.

7. So money is more important than development and study.
Yes. All they do care about is the upfront cost. Hell, they bitch that $2/hr for a Chinese worker in China is too damn expensive. x(

I hope they choke on their precious money. To me they're not even human. Just poorly programmed ATMs.

9. The bottom line is sacred.
People are commodities to be used and discarded as soon as possible.

11. Sadly, it is to them. It's always the short game with these nutbags.
If they had a long term, contrarian brain in their heads, they would realize that investing in better and constant education for the workers you HAVE rather than scooping up $30/day human Third World drones by the thousands results in more businesses being created, more efficient business processes evolving, more profits and more revenue and in turn more JOBS. Hiring via offshoring and pocketing the difference helps no one but one class of people - the obscenely wealthy.

I'm wondering when the US is going to become another South America.
