Geldof puts 'em all to shame....
...but makes them feel good about themselves. "They" of course are the G8 leaders, who did after all double African aid from 25 to 50 billion dollars. I just saw a clip of Geldof speaking at an end of summit news conference in Gleneagles. He wouldn't put up with any suggestion by the media - or anyone - that the leaders came up short of what he wanted. It may have been true, but Geldof is smart enough to know what WAS achieved here. It's anybody's guess as to just how pleased Geldof truly is with the results, but he certainly is savvy enough to realize a victory when it's staring him in the face.

1. Yes and I wouldn't
by any means assume he's done. He started something and Live8 was just the beginning, they will continue to try to educate and build numbers until next year when the'll try to get it doubled again.
