But when the son of a Republican president, George W. Bush, became part of a group buying the Texas Rangers in 1989, no Democrats raised a fuss. Nor did they when Fox News owner Rupert Murdoch bought the Los Angeles Dodgers in the mid-1990s, nor when Tom Monaghan, a fierce anti-abortion crusader, purchased the Detroit Tigers. Their politics did not affect their ability to own a team, and neither should Soros'.

Major League Baseball, not Congress, knows best who should own the Washington franchise. Threatening the sport and its fans because of an owner is unsportsmanlike conduct.

but really, this is more than partisan politics. It is a fascist intimidation tactic IMO and democrats should make a big deal out of it. Dean doesn't need to call them fascist but he should fold this into his "culture of corruption" routine. it is gangland style intimidation.
