Will/Can/Should someone please set up an Andy Stephenson avatar?

For multiple reasons, I want to use a tiny but recognizable photo of Andy in my sig line, but I don't know how to set one up. I would love to have one with his spectacularly beautiful smile, which, judging from his picture as a toddler, he had all his life.

We have multiple fights ahead of us, causes that he fought for valiantly and that we have to carry forward now. Free, fair, uncorrupted elections will NEVER return to this country without our fighting for them all the way.

If there would be objections from his family or friends, of course I would not pursue this. (Can someone please ask?) But if there are NOT objections, will someone who knows how please set it up?

3. Here's how I did mine...

For an avatar...

Right-click on the image & 'Save picture as'.

Then open the file where you've saved the image, open the image, click on 'Image', 'Resize/Resample' & change the dimensions to 80 x 83 & save your changes.

Upload it to DU... Click on 'Options', 'Edit your Profile', go to 'Avatar images' & click on 'Upload' your own, (Step 1) click on 'Browse' to find the image that you've saved on you PC, then double-click on it... next, (Step 2) choose 'JPEG image', then update your profile changes... voila - you will have an 'Andy' avatar.

For your sig line...

Right-click on the image, click on 'Properties', copy & paste it into your sig line on DU @ 'Options', 'Edit your profile', in the 'Signature' box.

The '80 x 83' seemed to work just fine, but I just edited my profile again, saved & uploaded your photo... neglected to pay attention to the 'avatars having to be under 50 high' rule. :spank:

my sig line. SoCalDem - I hope it's OK if I continue to link to that the photo you posted - I don't have a web site to post it on yet. I did set it up so that the bandwidth won't be "charged" to you but will come out of a public cache. (I do this with all images that are posted on other people's sites - it's only courteous.)

8. I cropped, resized & uploaded the one I had previously

The one I copied from you looked 'squished' when it the avatars came back up... I think this one looks better.

7. Can the admins please add it to the default cache of avatars?

I tried to reference it with /personal/27623351-Ti.jpg, but it said I can't use it because I don't own the avatar.

I was a gold star member but my star disappeared when it either expired or a spiteful moderator took it away when I made a post pointing out the irony of our system of restricted healthcare by noting that Andy would have had access to healthcare if he were in the prison system - (a point that was misinterpreted and I was generally flamed for, however Thom Hartman later made the same point in his subsequent article about Andy)

Do you know who owns the rights to the other one, where he is smiling? (I really love Andy's smile and want to remember hiim with it.) If we can get a waiver of copyright, then perhaps the admins would add it to their available avatar collection.

andythanksyou.com, this image is from Andy's SOS campaign. Thus, I would think it should be in the public domain:
