How will London/Americans react to bombings?
I have been hearing a lot of people on the right say, "well, now maybe the people in London will support Bush/Blair and the Iraq war". I've seen or heard it in at least three different places.

Can someone explain why they would think this?

My thought was, 'Well, now the Brits will really be pissed off. They were told by Blair that the Iraq war would prevent terrorism and now they are getting bombed.'

Am I wrong?

1. what bothers me is how
this will provide justification for the invasion of Iraq. Sept 11, as we know, had nothing to do with Iraq. Yet the administration has moved mountains to try to force a connection that was never there. Now, with these bombings, and the name of Al-Zharqari being tossed about, I worry that many people will do just as you said -- connect dots that aren't proved to be there.

... and America will continue to live in fear! :hide:

Just kidding, hell I don't know.... most "Americans" out here in the midwest don't even give two shits about whats going on around them.

UNLESS, it directly effects them... and that has not happened yet. (that's why I say give 'em a draft, if you lived next to me instead of in your big and fancy NYC 'flat' you'd understand)

They just vote for Bush 2 time and complain about everything he has done (without blaming Boosh mind you)... oh, and they listen to their dose of Rush Limpballs.

3. It can go either way i guess.
I think the right-wingers believe that bombing attacks will get the public on their side. It's easy to convince ignorant people that we gotta get those bad guys and that's what there doing in Iraq. Even though that's total bullshit.
