Who is planning to go the Andy's memorial service

A memorial service will be held at Town Hall in Seattle at 1119 Eighth Ave., on Saturday, July 16, at 2 p.m.

I'm going to pay my respects to his family and to say goodbye to a man I wish I had done more than spoken on the phone with.

I had hoped to see Andy during his recovery and chemo treatments, but that was not to be.

I want to pay my respects to Andy's family, meet Ted finally and reminisce about the wonderful events I shared with Andy along with his friends.

I want to be there, but July 16 is the 13th anniversary of my father's death. An extremely difficult day for my mother, who is 93.

You will love Ted. He is quiet but he loved Andy so much....

There are a lot of people I'm hoping to meet - I wish it was under different circumstances, but...

I bought my ticket tonight. Damn I wish I was going to get to talk to Andy. I miss him already.

Wish I could go. Some wonderful people will be there. No, I haven't talked to Mike...figured Velma did.

Ted seemed pretty good...it was really difficult for him seeing Andy suffer as much as he did. Ted is a great guy. Said Andy's mother is being a steel magnolia.

I miss Andy terribly....and will always remember what a wonderful friend he is. Somehow, I can picture him cussing that he missed out on the medical marijuana he was going to get.

It is so damn hard to believe that he is gone. He had a great Christmas with my family.

Benburch at www.andythanksyou.com has some great photos posted. I am going to send him more through snail mail on Monday... Please check them out...Andy in a tinfoil hat, among others.

I don't have his packet 8 phone number, or I'd call him.

Maybe I can sign on to messenger and see if he pops up.

I saw the pictures. In the time I spent with Andy I never took a picture. I'm glad Ben decided to put that album up.

I've seen him only sporadically since he went to Costa Rica.

Thought about him driving home from work yesterday (called in sick today.....) and saw that his favorite bar in my neighborhood was out of business. Thought of him then, but forgot to tell him just now.

9. My husband asked me this morning

if I would be going, and I told him I wasn't sure when it is being held.

Our daughter's wedding it at 2:00 that day.

She will just hafta make it 2:02, because at 2:00 I will be spending a moment remembering Andy, and in my heart joining with those who are able to pay their respects in person.

It would be good if there was a place for us to e-mail responses to his family so they know how much he was loved and appreciated.

Maybe the DU front page post up there now would work...but if there is another way it would be nice to be able to respond with thoughts to the family that's more personal :shrug:
