Economy getting better - yeah right.....
If I hear that the economy is getting better one more time - I'll :puke:

Although it's only July and we've been having hot weather - winter has us concerned. Especially about heating the house. We figure we're going to need about 5-6 cords of wood to supplement heat - that's going to run around $100 a cord. Add in heating fuel and our budget is going to be hurting.

Over the past few days I've stopped at various stores and submitted an application for a part-time job. My partner has done the same.

Meanwhile, I've been able to do some overtime at my regular job - but that won't last more than a 2-3 more weeks.

all I can say is we can't afford any more trickling down from the bush*it economy

1. Man- if it keeps getting better and better

why aren't we all just fuckin filthy rich???

I mean there has to be a standard for "getting better" like, say
a 2 percent increase in GDP or something. And it's been gettin
better and better SO MANY F'ing times now, we should have easily
doubled it... right?

(heavy sarcasm)

4. You bet the economy is getting better. For example...
More people are turning to Douglas County than ever before for help in paying rent, utilities and medical expenses.

In each of the past two years, the number of people requesting the county's help with such needs has increased by 33 percent over the year before, county officials say.
<snip>

The job market and economy also are factors behind the surge in those in need. "It seems to me that everyone I talk to does not have as much disposable income as they used to," Pelletier said
<snip>

"More and more people are just plain unemployed," Pelletier said
