In my twenties I was a member of SDS at college and fought for civil rights in the South during the sixties including standing up to the KKK by participating in helping African Americans break the sundown laws in several counties in Georgia. I opposed the war in Vietnam and the draft and participated in many demonstrations to voice my opposition. I also organized a march at the University of Georgia for coed equality to create the same rules for both male and female students. I think you and others are wrong about the war in Iraq and President Bush. Could you explain to me how I could change so much that I have left the Democratic party and have become a Republican?
