A quick web search revealed a criminal code available in some states of which I was not previously aware. I believe it was originally enacted to prevent interference by anti-choice activists at abortion clinics, but many states have penal code sections prohibiting "criminal interference with health care services".

It might be something worth checking into by those who are more closely involved with the situation than I.

so it would be quite a stretch to apply it to what the shitheads tried to do to Andy.

2. Actually, the statutes I've read cover interfering with access to health

care via any means that violates another statute (filing false reports alleging fraud would qualify here).

I'm no expert obviously, just food for thought.

it could be very helpful to the cause.

As soon as it's clear that we have a case (and I think we do), we'll need to create a legal fund. We'd best do it right this time. I'm not dissing what was done before, it was urgent and beautiful but we need no more fodder for the graveyard rats.

11. Exactly. I don't claim to be an expert, but this is the first criminal

statute I ran across that actually seemed applicable in any way. The ramblings about "attempted murder" and such yesterday were obvious non-starters, but this seemed like an idea with some merit to it.

I'm just tossing the idea out there, I have no idea if it's something that is actually pursuable or not.

Like an archived thread of something. I know little about it but I remember at the time I donated there was some nonsense about it being a hoax and there were problems with the Paypal donations. If any parties intentionally committed fraud to shutdown the Paypal donations, I would think that may have been criminal. But like I said, I don't know much about what happened. I just figured at the time that a hoax was unlikely and that regardless I'd rather end up being a slightly poorer sucker than possibly preventing Andy from getting the help he needed. Oddly enough, the accusations of a hoax are what spurred me to donate cuz I figured donations might be drying up.
