Young Republican meeting target of military question
Looks like Operation Yellow Elephant is getting some press:

http://www.lasvegassun.com/sunbin/stories/sun/2005/jul/08/519021050.html

Activists of a loosely organized campaign called "Operation Yellow Elephant" had threatened to protest the Young Republican National Convention at Mandalay Bay this week.

They argue that Young Republicans who support the war in Iraq should enlist in the military, especially given recent lags in recruiting.

<snip>

A delegate from Florida, 27-year-old David Fletcher, said he participates in the Young Republicans because he thinks it's important for young people to get involved in politics.

But while Fletcher said he fully supports the war in Iraq, he said he has not enlisted and doesn't have plans to enlist. When asked why, he said, "I'd rather not answer that question."

David Fletcher is a pussy, and he didn't know how to put his hypocracy into words. I've got a few Sign Up or Shut Up!

Another generation of Repugs who will do whatever they can not to put their butts in jeopardy, all while mouthing the phrase Support the Troops Hey chickenhawk, you voted for this war, you keep hyping it in the name of your glorious leader and the best way to support those troops is to bring them home or go give them some extra firepower in their foxhole.

This veteran feels nothing but contempt for you and your kind. I've spit on better garbage.

16. I might go over with five
If the point was double digits I'd reconsider. They might be able to scare enough of them with images of 9/11 and telling them that the terrorists want to take away their bible almost as much as lib'ruls do.

11. I carry about 10-15....
Marine Corps recruiting cards with me at all times JUST for cases like this. These chickenhawks talk a very good game, but are not that dedicated that they'd enlist themselves to further their fearful leader's agenda.

I hand them a card and walk away. Most of them throw them on the ground, a few actually put them in their pockets (to be thrown away in private to avoid embarrassment). Fucking babies!
