If you have good ideas/articles, start your own blog. It's easy!

All you have to do is go to (Google's blog spot) at http://www.blogger.com and follow some simple directions to create your own easy-to-manage blog. Then you can put your blog address (mine is below, for example) in your DU signature. That way, DUers who like your ideas or the things you say can find more from you, and you can get more of their comments.

It solves the "sinking article in GD problem." You can post your articles there and get whatever feedback you get. Then, if you think the article or idea worth keeping, simply post it (verbatim or enhanced) on your blog.

I wish a lot of the people I read on DU would start blogs. I probably miss a lot of stuff I would like to read simply because it never made the "Greatest" list (a nice DU innovation, BTW) or didn't get any comments.

I was just thinking about starting a blog a few days ago, the only thing standing in my way was the fact that I didn't even know where to start. Thank you. I now know where to start, and I have NO EXCUSES not to do it!

3. One important suggestion... OK, Two. Make that three!

Either allow comments or get a free email address (under your blogger name, for example) so readers can contact you.

I write the DU Blog Box column (on the DU homepage each Friday), and it's really frustrating when I can't contact bloggers.

Also, be sure to introduce your blog in the DU Bloggers Group forum!
