Iraq Signs Military Pact with Iran
Thu, 7 Jul 2005 22:11:20 -0700Summary:

Here’s an update: The “democratically elected” government of Iraq, much-ballyhooed by the Bush adminstration and its toadies, has signed an agreement of military cooperation with current Bush public enemy number one, Iran.

In other news, 100 “democratically elected” members of the Iraqi parliament have signed a petition demanding that the US withdraw its forces from Iraq immediately.

Iraq signs a pact in Tehran agreeing to accept Iranian military training and other cooperation.

Former foes Iraq and Iran announced “a new chapter” in their relations on Thursday, including cross-border military co-operation, dismissing US concerns about Iranian regional meddling.

On his first official visit to Tehran, Iraqi minister of defence Saadoun al-Dulaimi asserted his country’s sovereign right to seek help from wherever it sees fit in rebuilding its defence capabilities.

“Nobody can dictate to Iraq its relations with other countries,” Mr Dulaimi said in a joint press conference with his Iranian counterpart, Admiral Ali Shamkhani.

The two ministers said that a military co-operation agreement, now in the preparation, would include Iranian help with training and upgrading Iraq’s reconstituted armed forces, a process so far overseen by US and coalition advisers.

1. Fucking wow.
The worst possible scenario...brought to you by Bush, Cheney, Halliburton and their minions.
So what are we going to do NOW?
Overthrow their duly elected government and keep trying until we get one that suits us?
Somehow, I don't believe that we are leaving that easily.

5. Talks with Syria are also underway.
It seems that Iraqi leaders are vying for actual independence and sovereignty of their own country. Isn't that what the Bush Regime has been spouting? Maybe the Iraqis are actually believing the Bush Regime mantra, "Spreading democracy"?

6. Oops! More of those durned unexpected consequences.
They do keep cropping up.

American GI's not welcomed by grateful Iraqis.

Discovery that the "good guys" torture captives.

The middle east is not all that happy about shrububbya's plan to "spread democracy" with bombs and guns.

Iran clinging to it's right to nuclear arms.

Ally Pakistan supplying nuclear material to our "enemies".

No WMD.

Iraqis don't like having gun-toting Americans shooting up their country.

The "Failed insurgency" keeps being resurrected and strengthened.

No oil jackpot.

The "Coalition of the Willing" is unsticking itself from the tarbaby.

America is about as popular sardine ice cream or hemmorhoids.

I guess the Iraqis and Iranians didn't read the Plan laid out by the geniuses in the CIA and the White House.

7. Tom Hartman touched on this late this week
you won't hear this on Fox....Challerby (excuse spelling) was an Iranian spy who lied to bushco even after cia warnings as he was not to be trusted...we were not welcomed with flowers or anything else, so after building an insurgency and bogging us down in a Vietnam style war they pulled the trap.....these people are truly incompetent (bushco)....so * you got your war; and browned skinned people aren't as stupid as you...now what ya' going to do?

12. Ahmed Chalabi, boyfriend of Judith Miller...
provided the Bush Regime with bogus intell to push the illegal Invasion
of Iraq. Wolfowitz and Cheney knew this info was shit but they needed it to dupe the Congress and the UN. Congress, mainly fell for it but the UN didn't buy C. Powell's blatant crap. Hans Blix was not finding WMDs so the Bush Regime told his team to get out and proceeded with Shock and Awe.

There was partial success for the PNAC Cult.

Bush Regime Iraq Successes

1. Saddam will no longer sell Iraqi oil via the Euro.

2, A military foothold in the ME. Other than Saudi Arabia.

3, No countries will be able to buy Iraqi oil that the U.S. disapproves of.

4. The Multi-Intl. Oil Corps are reaping great profits, esp. Bush Junta fave ally Saudi Dicktatorshit.

“We live a lie when we fail to hold leaders accountable for their lies. By not calling now for impeachment, we are saying that we condone hypocrisy, pseudo-democracy, and murdering thousands of Americans and Iraqis for strategic control of energy resources that we have no right to. Patriotism demands that we insist on the ideals of democracy, not that we support the "leaders" who cynically destroy them.”

10. Mission Accomplished...

:sarcasm:

"Freedom is on the march"

:sarcasm:

Didn't El Presidente say, once upon a time, if the duly elected government of Iraq wanted us to pull out, we'd pull out?

Of course, even if he did he didn't mean it. Not with all that oil and the PNAC wet dreams of world domination at statke.

I'd like to see every Arab nation meet and draft a document with all of the crimes listed and their demand that we leave now.
