What is the situation regarding U.S. troops in Saudi Arabia?
Are they still there? Didn't I read about a year ago, or more, that we were pulling out our troops and moving them to Qatar? If we don't have troops there any more why is this not mentioned? I watched a show about Bin Laden on PBS last night and there was no mention that they had been removed. Could someone bring me up to speed on this issue......

3. That's the whole reason we're in Iraq
We got our ass kicked out of Saudi Arabia and needed to relocate. Kuwait is too small. But you don't hear much about that.

Remind me again, where where the 9-11 terrorists from, and what was their beef?

4. Yeah the PBS show was clear that one of Bin Laden's main
"gripes" was the "dirty feet" of the Americans running all over the land of Mecca and Medina. I guess this Administration doesn't negotiate with Terrorists, they just cave in and give them what they want. Oh, then they keep it all hush hush, of course!

5. Bush caved in to the terrorists' demands and withdrew them.
Just another example of Bush making bin Laden's rep for him.

:grr:

6. That's until we INVADE them........
We don't care about them EXCEPT for GHAWAR

quote........

United States supports a dictatorship for years only to suddenly declare it such a threat that the country must be invaded and the regime overthrown? Such an invasion of Saudi Arabia is already being talked about openly, even as the chaos and resulting dangers from the aftermath of the U.S. invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq are becoming increasingly apparent.

NOW this scares the shit out of me.......
quote....
According to a new book exclusively obtained by the Huffington Post, Saudi Arabia has crafted a plan to protect itself from a possible invasion or internal attack. It includes the use of a series of explosives, including radioactive “dirty bombs,” that would cripple Saudi Arabian oil production and distribution systems for decades.

Petro SE was devised by the Saudis because of their overriding fear that if an internal revolt or external attack threatened the survival of the House of Saud, the U.S. and other Western powers might abandon them as the Shah of Iran was abandoned in 1979. Only by having in place a system that threatened to create crippling oil price increases, political instability and economic recessions did the royal family believe it could coerce Western military powers to keep them in power.
