I hope someone is documenting all the revisions of the language this regime and military are using. It will make for interesting and amusing reading one day.

Someone posted the other day it was a good thing Dubya is destroying the military. It is a coven of right wing hate/think and had gotten worse in the 90's. The rift forming between the upper and lower ranks is starting to show and this is, IMHO, why the goals aren't being met.

Besides the fact that most 18-21 year olds now see Iraq as a death pit and not the grand adventure in the days following 9/11 has a great deal to do with it. But also so does the competition for the few decent jobs here. Yep, this wingnut brass-ass is somewhat right, but not for the reasons he states. It's like the Yellow Elephant Young Repugnican who won't serve cause he just got accepted into Business School.

If this regime cut the stop losses and went back to keeping tours and enlistments at 18 months, there wouldn't be as bad of a problem, but this regime just can't let up. That's fine. The moral of the rank and file in the military has never been lower and I feel this is helping some begin to detach from the invasion and see things in a clearer light (Leonard Clark is a great example).

We need to stand by the returning veterans and not forget them. These people are also big allies in helping bring pressure to draw this invasion to an end.
