Hate radio today, Iran “head of serpent.”
I had to drive a long distance today and to keep my adrenalin pumping I scanned through the am radio until I hit hate radio. I don’t know who the “talent” was but visualize the worst of them all. He was talking about how the lefty media is making such a big deal about Chimp’s poor polling numbers when in reality they are where they were when he took office (how liars figure, he didn’t mention the astronomical increase in negatives).

Anyway, he said that it will be necessary to kill the “head of the snake”, Iran, next year and at that time Bush’s poll numbers will climb again. The folks who listen to hate radio are truly like lambs being lead to the slaughter.

1. If securing Iraq is hard
imagine trying to wrestle Iran at the same time. It would be suicide.

2. OMG
Iran will be a much tougher theater of the absurd -- I mean, theater of battle -- than Iraq has been. We have over 130,000 troops over there and we're running out of warm young bodies already. An occupation of Iran will take at least four times as much muscle, and fielding half a million troops will require the draft to be reinstated.

It also means that instead of costing $250 billion (which Iraq has already cost), we'd be looking at a trillion-dollar-plus escapade.

Do we really want to risk a major, worldwide economic collapse for a couple years more of cheap oil?

Clinton had the right idea -- make friends with the Devil, then demand that he act like an Angel. Bush seems to have made friends with the Devil, and then the Devil made Bush his bitch.
