Wolf Blitzer is positively DOWNSTRICKEN!!!

Wolf: (breathlessly) "Sheriff Bubba, how does this monster compare to Hurricane Ivan?"

Sheriff: "Oh, Ivan was a hundred times worse, that was a once-in-a-century storm."

Wolf: (confused) "So, you are saying that Dennis is NOT worse than Ivan???"

Sheriff: "That's right, Wolf, no comparison."

Wolf: (irritated) "OK we have to move on to Mayor Billy Ray Strickland of West Escambiaville, tell us Mayor, how you are enduring this hurricane?"

Mayor: "Fine, Wolf, of course we still have to survey the damage but it looks like we didn't get hit hard here."

Wolf: (incredulously) "So, you are saying that Dennis is NOT worse than Ivan???"

Mayor: "That's right, Wolf, it weakened before landfall, thank God, not even close."

Wolf: (pissed) "OK thanks, we have to move on to Sgt. Major Buck Smoot, hunkered down at Eglin Air Force Base...."

2. Wolf would be funny if he weren't such a asshole. Some people are
hilarious in the pig-headed ignorance. He just misses that distinction by an asshole factor of 1 point.

18. More of a dickweed
than an asshole. Sort of a Geraldo w/o any looks or intelligence. Would've made a good mortician.

4. Not really, to be fair it was a monster offshore
But he looks so disappointed that the story is basically not massive death and destruction!

5. It was looking like a Category 5 for awhile. We're lucky it decreased.
It was expected to keep gaining power the 24 hrs before it hit the U.S. coast but it stabilized instead and eventually decreased. The eye feel apart more quickly than anticipated it seemed when it hit land as well.

7. Damn, Wolfie dissappointed, and my satellite connection hardware
needs to be replaced... can't watch his misery! x(

What he is REALLY sad about is now he has to fumble around for some other big story so he can avoid talking about Rove, Dick's ticker, and the shrub falling in the polls more often than he falls off of Bicycle One.

Like the assholes that keep badgering the bereaved about "You must feel awful! Seriously, no, really, I mean it, this must be the worst thing that's ever happened to you. I bet you feel suicidal, don't you? This has to be the worst thing you've ever experienced, isn't it?"

Fuck Wolf Blitzer, and fuck all sensationalist faux-journalists.

14. The Wolfster
should take a page out of the Bushco playbook and simply "fix the reports" to fit what he wants the story to be!

I'll bet John Bolton could rustle up substantiating intel in more time. He could just "cherry-pick" reports
from the Nat'l. Weather Service to prove Dennis has ties to al-Qaeda and is plotting to attack the U.S.

Nobody would even care about puny ol' Ivan then, even if it was a much greater threat.

15. LOL!! I was watching CNN's self-proclaimed "hurricane central" coverage
this AM, and was incredulous at how Wolfie looked sooooo disappointed
that the hoped-for (it seemed) death and destruction wasn't going down.
In one live shot, they had a reporter in a rain slicker standing in the middle of a road with folks just going about their Sunday business behind him...very little wind, and NO rain. He still spoke breathlessly, and looked quite ridiculous.
Way to be on top of the "NEWS", boys!!!

16. Not only That, Blue...but that's EXACTLY what Wolf was Doing!
And I was "yelling profanity at my "long suffering hubbie" that Dennis was declared by CNN/Wolf to be a "kitty" instead of a "LION" and I saw your post and had to yell at him to come down and view it!

Again...OMG...thanks so much for this. I thought I was alone watching Blitzer/CNN's "toss away" of Hurricane Dennis...and you just made my day...Gotta keep kicking this. It's priceless...and so many :loveya:'s to you! :D

I am delighted that the hurricane puttered out, obviously. But seeing Wolf's big day boiled down to one destroyed Ramada Inn sign (which probably was due to crumble anyhow) was priceless!

19. Same thing on MSNBC...Making excuses for why there aren't
bodies and part of bodies in the streets.

But actually, yes, the was very compact and the outer winds weren't as bad.

Still, we have family in Pensacola and they were huddled in the closet with a mattress over their heads for awhile today. So it must have gotten scary.

27. I was watching CNN's Hurricane Central around 1 AM this
morning. The female"reporter" actually shone a light over the water trying to ramp up some DRAMA, I guess. They have sunk to a new low, IMHO. I did not think it was possible to find a new low, but they did.

22. You think that is bad, Los Angeles news had a reporter on every
street corner talking for 10 min each about the drop of rain that fell on top of their shoe. Of course many of Southern Californians think the reporters made it happen on purpose (MIHOP). Do not ask me how, but that was not a round rain drop on their shoe, as a matter of fact it did not look like water.
