OK, Sirius is display on 144, "Real Liberal Talk Radio"
right now they are just duplicating what is on Sirius Left, 143, but it looks like it will be broadcasting a liberal/Progressive program

Tomorrow will tell us what the content is

There is a lot of potential

4. They Might Just Keep Simulcasting Sirius Left For a While...
but you are right about the potential...maybe something like the full Stephanie Miller from 9-noon, Thom Hartman noon to 3. I can't hack Lynn Samuels.

6. I have a problem with Alex Bennett, and I have to be in the right mood
to take Lynn Samuels

What bothers me about Alex Bennett is every opportunity he has he trashes AAR, and at the same time distinguishes himself as being "left", NOT liberal

Total B.S.

7. Lynn Samuels and Alex Bennett...
...both based in Manhattan, are transparently bitter about not being hired by AAR.

8. probably, but lynn sammuel is always listening to AAR
the other thing that irks me about alex Bennett is that he makes excuses for Alan Colmes

Yes, I realize they are probably friends, but to trash AAR, call himself left, and defend Colmes just doesn't make senes

AAR couldn't hire either one unless they clean up their act

9. I've tried to build up my ability to tolerate Lynn Samuels a few minutes
at a time, with this deadline bearing down on Sirius listeners. The shrill, screechy, uncontrollable voice, the nasal sound, the goddawful accent, the meandering stream of consciousness yammering, the lack of passion, the slowness are just are way too much to handle.

I tried Alex Bennett, who, when I listened, had too much to say about himself and not enough of what I needed to hear about politics. He seemed essentially too concerned about how people see HIM to do the needed homework to host a show.

Ed? Oh, God. He's so slow. He just doesn't seem to really give a damn about anything much beyond establishing what a good ol' boy he is.

This NO AIR AMERICA thing is going to hit us hard! I will miss the passion, the moral perspective, the intelligence, and the simple goodheartedness I have heard from the Air America personalities as I go about my days and nights. What a damned shame.

10. if Sirius doesn't put good liberal/progressive programming on 144
I will have a big problem with that

We should know shortly

At least I can get AAR OTA in Northern Califronia where I live so I have nothing to complain about

11. Time to cancel Sirius
It's about 6:00 AM, Wall Street Journal is what I am getting on 144 - Time to go...

We have 3 tuners, that's 3 less montly fees for Sirius, but we will NOT go back to XM.
We will be using mp3 cds in our radios and music in the house via DTV music choice etc.

12. Kind of a wast of money isn't though?
3 Receivers, you paid what $100 a piece for them, maybe more? It just seems a shame.
