Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton attacks Bush
http://www.sunherald.com/mld/sunherald/news/nation/12103178.htm

ASPEN, Colo. - Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton went on the attack against President Bush in a speech Sunday, accusing him of damaging the economy by overspending while giving tax cuts to the rich.

The Democrat from New York also accused Bush of depriving U.S. soldiers of equipment needed to fight the war in Iraq and cutting funding for scientific research

2. I don't think that this is the first time that Bill was friends with
someone that Hillary didn't approve of. At least she knows about Poppy though.

5. I don't know about that
Bill was talking about why we lost the election, and frankly it is fine to present constructive critisism within, but I don't appreciate him broadcasting it to the world

The repukes love it when they see other democrats critisize themselves

6. Of course
They think we're not unitied and things like that. I think we are and Clinton is a lil out of touch with the party since he hasn't been really involved. His wife is more in touch then he is.

9. I wasn't critisizing Hillary, just Bill Clinton
if he has nothing good to say about us, then he should keep his mouth shut

Even though I am not a particular fan of Hillary, anything he says or does that is negative to us, could hurt her, and us, when 2008 comes around

4. Haven't Heard That One Around Here For, Oh, Twelve Seconds
Remember, the most important thing anyone can do at DU is take another shot at Bill Clinton. Never mind the war, make this your life's mission.

on why we lost the election, he is fair game

I don't mind the critisism, but I do mind him telling the whole world

3. Something I've wondered about
I presume "damaging the economy by overspending" is in reference to the government spending, not corporate and personal spending, which also faces a trade deficit but that's another story.

Thing is, if government is overspending, maybe it will collapse, or be seriously damaged, which is something Repukes WANT to happen. I do not think that THEY think the national (government) debt is a serious problem for the economy.

10. significant black market economy
The trade deficit is actually not much cause for concern. It's largely compensated for by the black market. We probably run a large surplus most years when money laundering and narcotrafficking is included. On the other hand, 650 billion dollar annual legitimate current account deficits are probably overdoing it badly enough to raise questions, if not creating an actual deficit (no one can be sure, but some lower bounds are known and 650 billion is well above them).

For instance, take a look at opium production in Afghanistan for possible motives on Afghanistan beyond just oil (we know Iraq was euro concerns).
