Wow, Did Gas Prices Suddenly Spike Or Something?
I just paid $2.50 for regular here on Long Island. The primium was up to 2.80!

What the hell happened? I paid $1.35 just a week ago!

2. $1.35 or $2.35?
Edited on Mon Jul-11-05 02:09 PM by Roland99
I haven't seen $1.35 in forever.

Heh...that reminds me. My daughter and I watched The Lost World and there was a scene of a gas station in San Diego. The price of 87 octane? $1.15!

4. oops, yeah $2.35
I meant 2.35.

Geez, $1.35 - I can hardly remember that. I remember when I first got a car I was all excited about seeing $1.19 for gas at some places.

I don't think $1.19 would fill a dixie cup now.

3. It's been over $2/gallon in Wisconsin for a long time
There must be a typo -- I don't believe that you paid $1.35 for gas in Long Island last week, unless you got it off the back of a truck from a guy named 'Guido'.

12. Up in Orange County, regular hovers at about $2.49, and has been
for a few weeks.

I'm shocked, SHOCKED I SAY, that our state and local governments aren't proposing rolling back some of the taxes we pay per gallon to help make gasoline more affordable for those with less means.

:sarcasm:
