Are there too many Democrats in the pack...
Edited on Thu Sep-25-03 09:52 PM by Oracle
as some here say?

Or is it the Democrats smell blood, so it's understandable why there's so many in the pack?

And the real question: Are the Democrats strong enough, clever enough and relentless enough animals to take on and drop the huge Republican beast?

Do they all know how to go in for the kill?

I'm not so sure.

1. We need ALL of them
to get the message out, even if we don't care for their policies, they are against Bush* and will fan out all over the country and talk about that. Plus we still need them to define each other IMO.

I think they are strong enough, clever and relentless enough. Bush* is helping by being Bush* and killing himself but each of these candidates seem commited and ready for the fight. I can't see any who will cave under the onslaught that is coming.

2. AGREED - and they keep getting covered
which means the media has to keep covering bush criticisms (some very harsh) and putting a face on the criticisms in terms of policy - that people can relate to. THAT is a good thing.

3. It's like '88
It boils down to this; I don't care how many there are. I just care that they keep busting Bush's chops on what really matters-you know, steer the political discourse to another level without playing into Rove's hands. They all have a valid role and I love all of them-some more than others!
They've got to keep nailing Bush on his weaknesses: "It's the economy, stupid!" and his mindless fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants agenda in Iraq/War on Terrorism.
God, the evidence and lack of common sense in this area is astounding. All the Dems have to do is harness this and feed it to the masses.

4. What BlackVelvetElvis said
Yep. Totally right. If you have ten people, all of them smelling blood, all of them with a following of some kind, and all of them with the desire to see Bush gone (and none of us are ambivalent about that one), this only helps us. I mean obviously there can't be ten candidates forever, but more dissent is better, and it means Karl Rove has to spread his smear campaign thinner.

5. Yes! He will
have to spread the smears out. They will come and they will be bad but even dumb people know sour grapes when they hear it and hearing bad stuff about 10 people all the time will sound pretty awful.

But it’s nice to see response's in the positive …it’s going to be tough…because they do have a plan to lie and cheat, (black boxes) and Jeb again, shit, republican owned software, makes it difficult, but no where near impossible. And the republican owned corporate media, will NOT be on our side…they have to know how to go in for the kill and not become spinless, but slaughter them and their lies!
