1. Those libruls movies should be banned from the air I tell ya !

They only help the terrists I say.

2. The movie speaks volumes about the effects of war.

But the analogy of the fun-loving, "take-on-the-first-shot" deer hunting friends and their brutal, sadistic Russian Roulette experience as prisoners of war was brilliant.

DeNiro's rifle shot into the air with a stag standing still in close range in the latter part of the movie was equally brilliant.

3. Great movie.

If you want to understand Vietnam, at the emotional level,
it's a good place to start.

It had a huge impact at the time because it was so right on.

That and "Armageddon Now".
