For two years he has repeatedly mentioned 9-11 and Iraq in the same sentence
Earlier this week, he said that there was no link between 9-11 and Saddam Hussein
Asked today about Colin Powell's comments in early 2001 about how Saddam had not reconstituted WMD and no longer represented a threat to the US, Bush and Powell now both say:
"That statement was before 9-11".
Bush also says "9-11 changed the calculus"
So let me get this straight, as of early 2001 Saddam did not represent a threat to the US, and did not have WMD.
But 9-11 changed the "calculus" and so that he did have WMD and did represent a threat.
And now George says he didn't have a connection to 9-11.
But since 9-11 occurred, he did.
I am confused George, which is it?
