I will say this about Sharpton...

If he were the nominee he would likely lose, but in a debate with * Sharpton would just mop up the floor. You can tell (in today's debate) that Sharpton is not coached. He is blunt and outspoken, while still remaining polite and professional. He uses plain spoken talk that would resonate with ordinary people and he has a sense of humor that connects with working people.

I can imagine. Oh, if only. I'll never forget the wonderful Shadow Inauguration (or something like that) speech Sharpton gave the day AHole was sworn in. I was in a total rage that day, and CNN was presenting *'s illegal occupation like it was business as usual. Nothing else but that canned spin was on the mainstream media. Then I started running errands and heard NPR talking about what was REALLY happening. I rushed home and turned on C-SPAN. Finally, I heard about the protests, egg throwing etc., and watched Sharpton's masterful speech. I really love that guy.

that Sharpton's got nothing to lose, so he's able to cut loose and tell it like it is. (Yeah, I'm showing my age there. :hippie: ) But I love that he's doing it. He's a breath of fresh air after the DLC and their RePug-lite schtick.

I've noticed in reading a buncha blogs today that a lot of people want him and Moseley Braun to drop out of the race. I hope they stay in long as possible...I think we need to have minority voices included in the campaign, and those are two of the most eloquent voices in the party.
