report it." And that is a great animation, mopaul!
"...will the nation lean left?" Depends on what you mean by "the nation." If you mean that which is depicted by the news monopolies as "the nation," it will seem to "lean" a teensy-weensy bit to the left, say, with our puff adder new Democratic leaders being against the looting of Social Security. That is, we'll go back to square one. Reaganism. A wholly re-written tax code to favor the rich; deregulation of everything; bloated military budget, etc. And they'll call it leftist.
But if we you mean the REAL "nation," it is way left now, was on Nov. 2, 2004, and was way back before the invasion of Iraq. We just can't get our votes counted, nor are we permitted to choose a real antiwar candidate and populist to run for president on our behalf.
Note: Nearly 60% of Americans opposed the Iraq war BEFORE the invasion--even before we all knew it was a 100% pack of lies. I will never forget that statistic. And, after the initial fighting (with troops at risk) that figure went right back up to nearly 60%, where it stood through the election, and has shot up to about 80% today. 63% of Americans oppose torturing prisoners UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. Americans oppose every major Bush policy, foreign and domestic--way up in the 60% to 70% range. Most Americans are tolerant, fair-minded, justice-loving, and generous--but their voices are not heard, and their votes have been stolen by Bushite controlled, electronic voting machines, that use SECRET, PROPRIETARY software. And we rarely get to see THIS America, the REAL American, depicted in corporate, war-profiteering news monopolies, which give a BIG TRUMPET to the rightwing MINORITY.
"...will the nation lean left?" It already is. If you mean the news monopolies' ILLUSION of "the nation," we'll see what crap they try to foist off upon this LARGELY LIBERAL NATION when the corporate-owned election systems (Diebold, ES&S and Sequoia) decide who our president is going to be.
