"Investigate" Attacks In A War?
I served in a war. When we were attacked, which was not at all infrequent, there was never a team of investigators went out to look into the incident. We just went on until the next skirmish, and then we killed each other as we were able, and then on the the next, and so on. In a war it is not at all important who the players are in any attack, they are simply enemy soldiers.

So I'm a little bit confused by the desire for anyone to investigate the bombings in London. After all, if this is really a war there is no particular significance in which soldiers participated in which battles.

1. The war analogy is misleading
because these are criminal acts commited against civilians....also, the bombers may be still at-large and living among the populace and may strike again.

2. The Underground in London is not a war zone.
It is a place where INNOCENT civilians gather to commute to and from specific destinations.

peace.

4. Doesn't Matter
That is the nature of this war. Other wars have been different, but they were what they were and this one is what it is. One thing for sure, attacks on civilians is not at all uncommon in war. Ever hear of Dresden? (sp?). How about the fire bombing of Tokyo?

5. To have a war
You need a definable enemy. A war on terror is a war on ideology. You cannot kill an idea.

in this "war" both sides are simply killing civilians.
Over 100,000 so far, if you care to count, the pentagon doesn't.

A "War" without the protection of Geneva conventions,
Thanks to the bullshit chickenhawk Congress, republican party and the "oh I have a boil on my fat ass so I can't go to Vietnam Rush Limballs, topping it off with a draft dodger in chief cokehead, alcoholic born again loser at the helm.

This isn't a fucking war, it's a fucking bullshit jerkoff party for freeloading pricks.

Fuck your war on terror, and the horse it rode in on.

9. Wasnt an act of war, was a criminal attack on civilians
This whole 'war' terminology is wrong.

Just like the 'war on drugs' is really just a criminal attack on the users of certain drugs.

10. Even the people who trumpet this as a "war"
call it a "different kind of war." No one's charging over the hill, bayonets fixed.

But in fact, they are crimes. And crimes, generally, are investigated.
