Honestly, who won the debate?
Did anyone stand out? I feel everyone up there is adding to a very powerful platform, but I want to know who you think comes out better from this debate?

1. Who won the debate?
The Democrats! We have some really good people out there.

6. There you go!
No matter how MSGOP tried to finagle it, the candidates all came out as winners. Hell, I even liked hearing Lieberman tonight :) They were all good, and with the exception of Clark they all seem to have pretty detailed plans concerning the economy and the losses in our employment sector.

3. dean killed
dean killed gephardt. thats all i know. anyway, the point is
no one is supposed to win. Why? So each and all can still
receive contributions. After all, we still have a year left.

4. If Dean doesn't lose, he wins.
The clock is ticking for Gephardt and Kerry.

5. I thought
Edwards did really well for himself tonight. Clark did fine, and Dean defended himself well. Sharpton did a good job too.

11. Edwards did well the few times he was picked
as you can expect that he would. Clark did as poorly as I expected him to. Kerry and Dean did a little better than usual. Gep was way off. Graham was a pro, as expected, no better no worse that before. Braun was a little off as was Sharpton. Kucinich has again avoided his shrill ranting vis a vie the first go round but his sound bites remain unconvincing. Lieberman was a little off.

Score it so: Edwards (not a shock but I actually think its true), Kerry, Dean, Graham, Lieberman, Sharpton, Gephardt, Braun, Kucinich, Clark.

Will it change anything ? Probably not much although Clark should slump, Edwards and Kerry should get a bump up, Gep and Lieberman down, the rest were the rest to begin with and remain so (doesn't make them bad or unnecessary but none will be the nominee).

8. I found the whole thing mindnumbing
After awhile I couldn't distinguish one candidate from the next and now can only remember a couple of soundbites. While listening to it I thought everone had good points to make, no clear winners, no clear losers. The format sucked and didn't really allow for any one candidate to fully articulate complex positions.

THis field has to narrow down before there wil be any clear winners.

13. I don't see anything about
Kucinich. Unfortunately, I was not able to view the debate since I don't subscribe to cable. Cherry was very diplomatic in encouraging me to share my frustration with my legislators. This is an extremely valid concern.

I incorrectly assumed I could watch the replay via MSNBC. doh--it's a cable (not internet channel). How is the general American public going to view these candidates if someone like myself can not?

Please help us highlight this outrage. Write a note to your representatives, NBC, DNC, & whomever else you think should hear about this injustice.

So please enlighten me: Was Kucinich's light able to shine through???

Thank you.
