If there were a civil war, what do you think Repug's would fight for?
I know what Dems probably would fight for: getting troops out of Iraq, providing health care to everyone who can't afford it, working wages and fewer work hours, environmental regulations enforcement, judicial due process, less foreign outsourcing, no corporate tax evasion, no war profiteering, affordable housing, decent public transportation and/or fuel reform, helping small business compete with the likes of corporate chains, better education, and campaign finance reform, just off the top of my head.

These are the only think I can think of that Repugs want: lower taxes and making it illegal for women to chose. Pretty lame, huh?

Apparently they don't really stand for much.

Is there anything else that Repugs would really fight for in the context of a civil war? I doubt it.

1. Repugs wouldn't fight at all
They'd run, slap Canadian Flags on their luggage and or claim to be Dems but unable to fight because of an old ___________ (insert body part) injury.

5. They might come along after the battle and go through the pockets of the
fallen, but I don't think they'd do any actual fighting if they could avoid it.

8. Some of them would fight.
But only against poorly armed citizens, and only when they outnumbered the "marks".

That is their way.

If they cannot do that, they will sell defective ammunition to the opposition.

10. Hell they'd sell defective ammunition to their own side
if they could make a buck out of it.

9. How could they even fight at all without Democrats to draft?
That's probably why enlistment numbers are down. They just expected Democrats to do their fighting in Iraq just like in Vietnam.

They would try to repeal the 14th & 19th amendments, eliminate afirmative
action, boost the KKK's numbers as much as possible to join their militia and go after the NAACP, Jesse Jackson, and Al Sharpton.

6. They would fight for...
...whatever shrub told them to fight for... Except they'd expect others to do the actual fighting.

Or maybe they'd just use Cheney's black market links to buy WMD to nuke the resistance??

7. Corporate power
I think they'd be willing to fight to maintain corporate hegemony, if that ever came under threat. Though they'd cloak their aims under a theocratic banner, in order to get enough of the population to fight for them.

As far as I'm concerned, this particular war is already underway, though I hesistate to call it civil, as the civil(ized) people are largely on one side (ours).

13. Actually corporations are good compared to Repugs.
Repugs aren't so much fanatics of corporations as they are of the rich greedy monsters who run them, and U.S. economic superiority. Problem is, if we are forced to be at work our entire lives how is that superior?

the actual fighting.

14. I wish we could leverage that more.
With their lack of anything to stand for, and cowardice, it's shameful that we are letting them win so many elections.

15. If this is what the American people want, they deserve it.
It's the downside of democracy.

Democrats need to play more on evidence that Repugs are just incredible wimps for the reasons explained in this thread.
