Did Rove have security clearance when he talked to Cooper?

And if he didn't, isn't the real issue who is (are) the person(s) that had security clearance that blabbed to Rove that Plame was CIA working on WMD?

1. He shouldn't have had a clearance then, no.

There are two issues:

1. Who committed the crime by leaking it to him (for which he should have to testify, and if he doesn't, he should be held in contempt or charged with obstruction of justice), and

2. If he wasn't competent enough to recognize that a crime was committed at the moment that person told him, and if he didn't have enough integrity to report that crime as soon as it occurred, then he's not qualified to hold an office in our government.

2. In this morning's WH press conference one of the reporters

asked if Rove's security clearance had been revoked. Naturally Scotty avoided the question.

However, no one seems to have asked if he ever had security clearance. Press needs to start at the basics.

Should not have had clearence at that time. He was a just political advisor.
Also, apparently Rove did not give a go to cooper to testify. Rove had journalists sign an agreement when the administration came into office that stated all conversations with him were to be held in confidence.
Only after Roves lawyer made a comment in the press a few days ago did Coopers lawyer decide that it was "a nod" by Rove to release Cooper from the agreement. Rove DID NOT give Cooper the go ahead.
This was reported on the MSM a few days ago, have not heard anything about it since.
