I Favor Capital Punishment

KKKarl Rove certainly revealed the identity of an undercover agent for personal and political gain.

To me, and to many others, this is treason, which is a capital offense punishable by death.

Now let's see President Asshole taunt the condemned prisoner in his final hours with his much quoted..."Please, please don't kill me" as he did when executing the female prisoner in Texas when he was Governor.

I generally don't support killing in most forms (anti-capital punishment), but there are times when it must be done(sadly). Treason certainly comes close to the line. I also do support War, but ONLY in the name of defense/national security. I am 100% opposed to wars of aggression, such as Iraq. It's not the American way.

What I am saying is: to be against capital punishment in some cases and for it in some others, is no change from the current laws of this country.
For some crimes you get the death penalty, for some you don't. This is exactly what * believes...(to pay you in kind for comparing me to him :) )

So what I am saying is if you are against the death penalty, then you are against it period. No exceptions. Otherwise, you are for it, just like most people are now.

Let me explain in detail, my fine DU friends.

1. Leaking. The rabid right wing tried to vilify poor Mark Felt for leaking info during Watergate. Now their beloved KKKarl Rove has done the same thing, only for sinister ends, which makes it worse.

2. Treason. The same assholes tried to paint John Kerry and Jane Fonda with the same brush, trying to equate protesting a war with treason. Now, one of their own is facing a charge of real treason, in the same vain as espionage.

3.Capital Punishment. Of course I'm opposed to Capital punishment, but don't you see the irony of the Bush brothers, who pulled the switch at record numbers facing the dilemma of their "political creator", KKKarl Rove, facing the same fate?

Come on, get with it. This is a time to celebrate. We have caught a public enemy, let's enjoy it.

12. Until a few years ago, the UK had capital punishment for just two crimes.

Treason and piracy.

It pissed me off when they rescinded that, since the piracy provision held some application and threat in the Caribbean islands when UK law was supreme.
