Truthseekers need to press this: Plame was WMD expert preventing terrorist
s from getting their hands on them.

This is exactly why this is a big deal. I keep hearing the spinners use the common "so what" line. Well it is a big deal. Destroying a US CIA network for preventing terrorists from getting their hands on WMD's is much more than just a BIG DEAL. It is treason.

It's been a while....:hi:

Here is an excerpt from the LTTE I wrote today for the DU activist corp.:

'Karl Rove's clandestine revelations to the media of Valerie Plame’s role as a CIA operative put partisan politics above the security of our nation. In my humble opinion, he chose to recklessly reveal Mrs. Plame's identity as a CIA agent, with no thought to the consequences to America’s national security, because it provided an opportunity to both smear her husband Ambassador Joe Wilson who was a critic of the administration’s policies, and possibly worse, to discredit the work Mrs. Plame herself was doing at the time involving the proliferation of WMD’s - facts her group had possibly submitted to the administration which couldn’t be fixed around the policy of promoting war with Iraq.'

We need to mention this EVERY day just like they did.

6. and the pattern continues...

...And the *timing* of her outing considering goings on RE: Iraq (WMD?) and Joseph Wilson's information that no yellowcake was there/being sold to Iraq makes the crime even more suspicious. It's as if the White House was afraid they'd lose their excuse to invade Iraq if they let Wilson's statements stand and Ms. Plame do her job unencumbered by being outed and forced to stop her work.

Funny that. Because the Downing Street Minutes seemed to smack of the same fear and tactics - trumping up the case to invade on very very thin evidence and wreaking havoc on anyone who dared suggest that evidence was flimsy/non-existant and insisting that they FORCE the case. 'Fixing the facts around policy' so to speak.

I see a pattern here and I frankly find it very unsettling.

Also, John Bolton had a Brazilian man fired because the man wanted to do chemical weapons inspections in Iraq. Bolton wanted no part of that. Probably because nothing would have been found. This was before the Iraq invasion. This may be why bu$h wanted Bolton as UN ambassador. This would have been, in classic bu$h crime cabal fashion, (see Alberto Gonzales) Bolton's reward for covering for bu$h so he could invade Iraq unimpeded by any facts such inspections would have probably rendered (ie: that there were NO WMD or chemical weapons in Iraq that could have been used to attack the US and certainly not in any 'imminent' fashion)

Anyone else see what I mean here?

8. Uh-huh...
...all three incidences tie together and they paint a mighty clear picture of exactly what the bu$h crime cabal is and has been up to. If we had a real media and investigative journalists, this would get some airtime.

9. They dovetail together
like pieces of fine woodworking.

It's all one big stinking putrid ball of rotten string. DSM, Plamegate, Cheyney's Energy Meeting...all are loose ends that if pulled hard enough will cause one damn big explosion of corruption and filth.

Doing the best I can........to make it dirt simple how ruthlessly traitorous exposing Ms Plame was.

Peace.

16. THIS IS THE WHOLE POINT
The work that Plame was doing was critical to the safety of our country. She and the people who were outed along with her were trying to keep WMD out of the hands of terrorists. When she was outed, it was like a victory for them. A whole covert CIA network was revealed. I haven't heard yet, but you would assume that some agents even lost their life over this.

So now that we've figured out who did it, and it turns out to be a Repub and all the other Repubs are running out to defend him -doesn't that mean that they think that partisan loyalty is more important that our national security?

Aren't they supposed to be the big, patriotic hawks, ready to do anything to protect this country? Anything but let one of their own get nailed for screwing up.........

If Rove goes unpunished for this, who's to say he wont do it again. Who's to say others wont follow suit, revealing all kinds of important classified information critical to our safety to one up their political rivals? We are on a slippery slope here. This is a very important issue.

17. Can you imagine what Poppy Bush thinks about this?
Didn't he have a pretty harsh condemnation for those who out CIA agents?

We need to continue to call this what it is -- Treason. The wingnuts are spinning this out of control, not addressing whether the basic act was right or wrong, but falling back on semantics, trying to raise 1st amendment bogeymen, and practically breakdancing to distract the public from the basic issue of right and wrong.

Listening to "News and Notes" last night, the right-wing apologist on their roundtable was "explaining" that the betrayal is too "complicated" for the average American to understand, but what the average American should understand is that their 1st amendment rights are being threatened! They should be up in arms! A nice innocent lady, who interviewed someone but didn't even publish it is in jail! The press could collapse! (like it's not already on its knees to this administration, but that's another rant)

Uh, no, Americans should be worried that the wingnuts are willing to commit an act that they themselves would jump to label as treason if it were committed by the anyone on the Left.
