My grandmother had a revelation a couple of months ago. You see, her Medicare costs are rising, but her Social Security isn't. This was during the big tour to convince us to privatize that very system. She was very upset that he didn't care about the people anymore. I lost it. Anymore? Do you really think he cared before?? She also said that he didn't know what he was doing in Iraq. No kidding.

Her and my grandmother are on fixed incomes and while their money stays the same everything else keeps going up. The money is getting tighter with each passing month it seems like, but there is no reasoning with my mother. My grandmother doesn't bother much with politics...she's almost 87.

My mother, though, still thinks bush is wonderful and even with the wall-to-wall scandals, the war going badly, the crappy economy and the horrid gas prices, she just won't believe otherwise. I even told her how the gas prices alone are affecting hubby's job (truck driver). She refuses to believe that bush is responsible for the gas prices no matter how I explain it.

She's one of those few RWer's that so evangelical it's blinding her. I truly believe the only way she will see that bush is an insance criminal is black and white evidence that cannot be refuted in any way. :shrug:

There will be no 'I told you so'. I won't have to say a word. She'll know even though she will never admit it.
