Car Bomber Strikes As Soldiers Hand Out Candy To Iraq Children

A suicide bomber struck Wednesday morning as soldiers handed out candy to children in Baghdad.

A soldier from the 3rd Infantry Division’s Task Force Baghdad and a dozen children were among the 27 people who died in the attack.

Authorities were still trying to get an accurate count of the dead Wednesday.

At least 21 other people including three other U.S. soldiers were injured in the attack, which created a fireball that set a nearby house on fire.
