I can't count the number of activities I've taken part in -- from demonstrations to petition-signing. Unless the leaders of our party are willing to keep this issue on the forefront, "we" can only do so much.

I really hate to be the pessimist here -- I'm just burnt on being let down by leaders who cower whenever the other side barks.

Absolutely, "we." Please keep in mind that we are only responsible for ourselves. It certainly sounds like you are doing your part. That's not only important, it's all that you can do. You are not responsible for those cowards that you mention. I certainly understand your frustration with their behaviors, and am not making light of it. But I hope that you notice how now, because of the shift in the wind, both democrats and journalists are growing spines, and going after the administration on the Plame business?

If you are honest, and tell the truth, that's 100% of your responsibility. If politicians and journalists then lie, or tell the truth, that's their responsibility. Taking on their shit is how we run the risk of burning out. Don't do that.

I'm a hundred times happier -- and more confident -- when I know there are grass-roots level folk doing their part, than I am concerned with what the "upper crust" does. So I thank you for the good works you do. Thanks!
